This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

It looks like it was shot on a cheap handycam with no lighting talent whatsoever. The monster looked terrible too. The music was good and dialogue clear but otherwise totally uninspiring. Horrible acting and horrible direction. Misty Mundae was a happy bonus. What happened to Lance Henriksen? Not in the slightest bit scary or even interesting.

Awful to extremes in so many ways I can't begin. This is a script that should have never been read before page 1. No way should it have even be read beyond page 2. Then to think that somebody put a camera to film this is way beyond logic.Horrible in such a bad fashion that it's funny. If you want to waste your time in all aspect as well as any money you may have is a crime that yet has to be written. It's a joke that somebody thought this is a film that could to some degree entertain and if there was a 0 on the scale, well it would certainly be awarded a big nothing. There are tampon commercials that are much more entertaining and watchable than this.

If you started off with the premise that you could make one of the worst films ever whilst talking to a group of ten year old school kids, and then wrote a script together with them that contained no original dialogue, a plot that was predictable in every way possible and then cast a bunch of incompetent actors (Even Henriksen is bad in this one!), mix it together with an absurd blend of clichés and some bare breasts, then this is what you would probably end up with. Some films are so bad that they're good fun. The trash aesthetic and all that, but this one is just trash. Rubbish. Truly and utterly awful. The only thing that kept me watching was the vague hope that it couldn't get any worse. But at least it didn't disappoint in that respect. The score was good. And there you have the one and only redeeming factor for this execrably bad, fetid piece of tripe.Cheers, Will

Default Fabrice Lambot's DYING GOD Dying God (2008) Dying God Delivers With Original AppealThe MySpace official page for Fabrice Lambot's French-Argentine horror Dying God is online, and on that page is a poster for the movie. Also, Brad Krupsaw's blog for the movie is online. The screenplay for Dying God was written by Lambot and Jean Depelley, based on a story by Nicanor Loreti and Germán Val.The movie's cast includes James Horan, Lance Henriksen, Erin Brown (a.k.a. Misty Mundae), Agathe de la Boulaye, Enrique Liporace, Victoria Maurette (she's also in Albert Pyun's Left for Dead and his BulletFace), Ivan Espeche, Samuel Arena, and (Brad) Krupsaw.Dying God has a surprisingly original story and though the movie starts to flail early on from the flat acting and low production costs, once Lance Henriksen shows up at around the half-way mark things start to look up.James Horan does a fine job himself and all the girls do a great job too. After 15 minutes, stop and turn away from the screen. Yell as loud as you can to overcome the feeling of turning off this movie due to the horrible acting and post production, but then keep watching, I don't think you'll regret it. If you like horror and have a quiet afternoon to kill this one's worth the watch. The movie is basically about a very cool legendary monster from Panamian folklore who is about to die, desperate to find a mate to continue his species, the only caveat is most of his prospective mates don't survive the first coupling. An intensely gory film with a cool monster that while starts out bumpy won't disappoint for a low budget horror it's a bit of fun.
