Chinna (Vishnu) is a very witty and resourceful person who knows how to get things done. As kids, Chinna and Piccheshwar (Vennela Kishore) have a tiff and Piccheshwar leaves the village in a huff. Piccheshwar’s outraged grandfather (Kota Srinivasa Rao) orders the execution of Chinna’s family, forcing them to flee as well. As the years go by, Chinna grows into a tall and fearless young fellow. He applies for a job as a journalist and he is sent on an assignment by his boss Avatar (Posani). The assignment is to conduct a sting operation on Minister Dilleeswara Rao (Pankaj Tripathi). Chinna succeeds in capturing incriminating footage, but he is caught and thrashed by the minister’s goons.

Good start, but then it gets ruined

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

Gopi Mohan penned the screenplay along with Veeru Potla. Gopi is a master in this genre and he's proved again with this film. Though the scenes and song placements were routine, the way he revealed some crucial twists during the narration is quite interesting. Doosukeltha is packed with so many gags that you can't avoid this movie. Manchu Vishnu takes the cake with his acting and the comedians complement his effort. Although the film slips into clichés, the comedy and entertainment quotient of the film saves it. The second half is better than the first. The film doesn't try to beat the formula but never stops the entertainment engine. It keeps on going and going, and you keep on laughing and laughing. The movie is a Marsala entertainer and a treat for comedy lovers.

Manchu Vishnu has grown in confidence and body language as an actor. He is versatile with his expressions, puts sincere efforts in dance and fights. He seems to be going the right way. Lavanya is cute and her innocent appeal makes her adorable. On performance front, she needs to groom a lot. She could have excelled in sentimental scenes with father. After scoring a hit with 'Dhenikaina Ready', Manchu Vishnu is back with another entertainer and this time he has teamed up with Veeru Potla.

Manchu Vishnu's 'Doosukeltha' has hit the screens in the year. The movie has been directed by Veeru Potla and Vishnu has produced it on 24 Frames banner. The movie has Vishnu and Lavanya in lead roles. Vishnu has changed his body language for this movie. He has tried out a new hairstyle and he looks quite good in the film. He has tried out some good dance moves for the 'Appudappudu' song. Lavanya looks nice in the film, but she has lost too much weight. Doosukeltha' is a pretty commercial film. There is decent entertainment in the second half and family crowds will enjoy these sequences. The first half of the movie could have been better. The romantic track between Vishnu and Lavanya is good.
