It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

To be honest this movie is not really anything close to the books but it is good for what it was plus it's just a completely different story all together. The plot was good but not as good or memorable as the previous movie, it looks like Greg is still trying to impress Holly and if read my previous review I mentioned I had a crush on her and I still did in this. But I wasn't too happy about how the character of Heather Hills was wrote compared to how she was wrote in the books (Greg's crush and she was nice to her sister) but in the movie she is Rodricks crush and she was mean to her sister. I am just glad that in this movie unlike the book Holly and Greg become a couple. It is a rare case of scenario I would prefer the movie to the book but in this case I do.I haven't seen The Long Haul yet but once when I have read the book I will check it out and review it. I hope it's good. Overall if you liked the original movies you will enjoy this :)

We went to go see the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie-Dog Days and were pleasantly surprised as to how funny and entertaining it was. This is a really good movie for anyone who likes to laugh. You can't help but love this film because it will touch you on so many levels.A very relatable story about growing up and family dynamics...this film hit home in so many areas for my husband and I. The actor who played the main character (Greg) in the movie- Zach Gordon -was just wonderful, and so believable. He has a bright future in Hollywood. It was hard not to root for him. Steve Zahn(who played Greg's dad) was great also and so was Devon Bostik as Greg's older and tormenting brother. There hasn't been a good, solid, fun movie like this one in a long time. This movie isn't just for kids. No matter how old you are you can't help but enjoy this movie. I really recommend that if you like good, fun film entertainment, without all the $200,000,000.00 dollar special effects, hands down, this is, definitely, the "go to movie"!

It's summer vacation time, and all Greg (Zachary Gordon) wants to do is play video games. His dad Frank (Steve Zahn) is not happy, and sends him outside. With his school crush Holly (Peyton List) spending her time coaching at the country club, Greg decides to spend his time there. Only he needs to use Rowley Jefferson (Robert Capron) pretending to be his guest. That's because Rowley's father disapproves of him. Then there is Greg's brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick). He threatens to expose Greg's lies unless he gets invited himself to play with his band at Holly's sister Heather (Melissa Roxburgh)'s party.Greg is most annoying when he's lying and scheming. It would be better if he had more reluctance to do some of these things. It makes him too unlikeable. However it's great when he learns his lesson. I guess that's what this is all about. His friendship with Rowley is at the center of this film. But it's also great to see that Holly isn't simply a 2-dimensional character.

I don't know but I felt this one is the worst one out of the three but it's watchable. Watching this movie is like watching some crazy families trying to act normal. And that is where most of the humor comes from, watching crazy people trying to act normal. This time around it's the story centers around trust values and admitting to mistakes instead of running away from it. And it goes in a decent direction where the whole family can watch and be safe with and also get a few chuckles out of. It's basically a really kid friendly movie. Almost like those teenage Disney kids shows. Except it's in movie form. The movie however didn't seem all well put together although it does have moments where kids can get some laughs out of. It's a decent family movie but just watching as an adult, it can be below mediocre.5/10
