Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
... View MoreThe movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
... View MoreI enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
... View MoreGreat example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
... View MoreEuropean gigolos are being murdered. In Malibu, Deuce Bigalow (Rob Schneider) is still hounded by his man-whoring reputation. Kate was eaten by sharks and he's left only with her artificial leg. T.J. Hicks (Eddie Griffin) invites him to Amsterdam. When T.J. is caught in a comprising position, he is suspected as the gay killer. Deuce has to go into the European gigolo world to clear T.J.'s name.I didn't mind the original Deuce Bigalow. It's silly but surprisingly, it has a bit of heart. Deuce is a rather likable goof but his character reflected in Kate's eyes is what gives him real heart. This one is missing Kate. Maybe Arija Bareikis didn't want to reprise her role although she has a small scene. Also it's not like she's that busy. This one has him falling for another troubled beauty. It's cute but it's also repeating the first movie. He has a whole new series of weird dates which is also repeating the first movie. It's not as hateful as one might expect but this is not good either.
... View MoreDeuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (2005): Dir: Mike Bigelow / Cast: Rob Schneider, Eddie Griffin, Hanna Verboom, Jeroen Krabbe, Douglas Sills: Despairing sex comedy sequel about sex and culture only this time Deuce heads to Amsterdam to clear his pimp's name of the murders of all the gigolos. Perhaps they weren't really murdered and just up and left the set in fear of being associated with this kinda of crap entertainment. Strangely enough the director's name is Mike Bigelow but despite his efforts, nothing could save this shameful spectacle. He may be extremely proud of his name but one wonders whether the name relation will haunt him after this. Rob Schneider returns as Deuce and again must hook up with an assortment of impaired women in order to learn who the killer is. With that said he basically repeats himself. The one funny performance comes from Eddie Griffin as pimp T.J. Hicks who is framed for murder and always caught on camera in the most embarrassing moments. Supporting roles mainly fall under the moronic or cardboard mode but none are interesting. The film exists because people were desperate enough to make the first farce a hit. It almost seems to applaud the behaviour presented without any consequences but it will throw in a lame moral tag line in the conclusion just to prove that a sucker is born every minute. Score: 3 ½ / 10
... View MoreI've always found the original "Deuce Bigalow" to be very underestimated. It wasn't the best movie in the world, but it was very funny and even kinda sweet and romantic. "European Gigolo" sadly is a whole different story, because it doesn't really have much to do with the original. You have the same main character, but the overall style of the movie is completely different. The movie just drags itself from one gross-out comedy skit to the other, and all these scenes were obviously written very hastily. There's a woman from Chernobyl who has a penis for a nose, so it speaks for itself she's going to sneeze sperm. And then it lands in a guy's soup and he eats it, hahahahahahahaha...oh wait, I'm not 12. Eddie Griffin eats fries from a toilet bowl, a girl smokes through a hole in her throat, Deuce's new love interest has a lot of obsessive compulsive tics, there's this one guy with a really large dick, there are Asians, that's pretty much the material. There are some laughs I guess, but they're hidden so deep in a pile of groaners that I can't possibly remember what they were about. I could have done without this.
... View MoreDEUCE BIGALOW (or "Deuce Not So Big Below" as he was called in this film! Lol!) is back, this time to be a "man-whore" in Europe! This sequel of DEUCE BIGALOW: MALE GIGOLO is pretty funny too, but even so, I think the first one was a bit more hilarious. But this one is very comical either.I especially appreciated the part when they explain how to do a "Portuguese breakfast"!... I'm Portuguese and I've never heard of that (because it's just a joke, of course!). Maybe I should try it someday! Lol! It was also nice the portrait of Amsterdam done in this movie, because it's too exaggerated, but it really must be what Americans think of Amsterdam I suppose! The scene where the cop is lightning TJ's joint, at the coffee-shop, or the scene where this guy says that the truck full of Marijuana that he's driving is to his daughter's birthday party, which is going to make 13, are hilarious and are hyperboles that clearly prove that exaggeration I mentioned.Once again Rob Schneider does a great job in this funny and entertaining movie.
