Don't Believe the Hype
... View MoreBrilliant and touching
... View MoreI saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.

... View MoreIt was funny. I did not expect to like it but it was great. I would love to know how to get a copy of the cover they did for "Love Is All Around".
... View MoreThere was not one redeeming, funny, thought out, or useful moment in the movie. The cast was terrible. Melissa McCarthy (the front and center of the poster) was in about 3 minutes of the movie. It was clear they didn't even script her part of the film and just gave her a couple props and slapped her on the poster. If you coohse to watch this, just light your TV on fire and give up.
... View MoreHaving watched over 2,000 movies I have seen plenty that were not my cup of tea. Several that were stupid, funny, boring, bland, ect. When this movie ended I kinda wanted to scream at myself for watching the whole thing. The only positive thing in this was the actors did a good job at being clueless, clumsy, and downright dumb. Now if your into a super cheap, ditzy, so stupid it's kinda funny movies than this is probably your kind of movie. However, this was not mine. Glad I only spent $1.00 for this and I'm kinda upset I spent that much on it. P.S: Melissa McCarthy is only in this show for about 5-7mins and this is one of her worst films ever.
... View MoreVan Rookle Farms sponsors an annual cook off event with a prize of one million dollars. It has 50 contestants. The film builds the character of 5 contestants and then introduces us to two more. They stereotype people of various regions. The script played to the strength of the actresses. I especially loved Jennifer Elise Cox resurrecting Jan Brady. Melissa McCarthy whose face is featured in the middle, actually had a small role as compared to the other contestants. The writing was hit and miss. Wendi McLendon-Covey and Cathryn Michon wrote themselves pretty good roles but some scenes struggled. They brought in people who know and do comedy all the way down to Don Imus' daughter Elizabeth. They saved a lot of scenes.Guide: The film has some mild sex talk. They bleeped out swearing except at the end with the punk band singing. No sex or nudity.
