Some things I liked some I did not.

... View MoreThis movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
... View MoreIt’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
... View MoreThis is not the worst but also not the best. It is a middling horror movie. I was disappointed with the lack of gory killing but the implied violence is pretty cool. The twist was interesting the first time but once remembered it becomes a bit stupid. The idea of having sex to stay alive is a good one and the teen orgy was genius but still handled in a generic manner. Worth a watch for horror fans.
... View MoreEven by slasher genre standards it's still bad.Although the idea behind the movie is good by itself, I quickly realized that this film was nothing else than an excuse to put violence, teens and sex together. The over acting is the worse of it all and seems to be the doing of the director because every actor in the movie does it.There are NO scenes with a suspense build up. The end by itself is not the result of a tension build up and discoveries piling-up.If it was the work of a college student in a fiction writing course, I'd feel generous giving it a D.
... View MoreThis movie is nothing but excellence. I actually enjoyed it and would recommend this movie to a friend. The only thing that I don't really like about this movie is that it doesn't have enough chase scenes. Although the movie doesn't have many epic chase scenes, every second of the movie is crawling with suspense. The setting is in the quiet, small town of Cherry Falls. A series of murders begin to become common with teenage virgins. Likewise, all the teenagers have a party where they all plan to lose their virginity to take themselves off the endangered spices list. Mayhem breaks out and the police forces of the town are left clueless. Jody, the sheriff's daughter, helps solves the mystery. Throughout the film deadly secrets are revealed leaving you wanting more. Will the town's teenagers survive?
... View MoreA young couple in Cherry Falls, Virginia is parked in a car for sex. Coming as no surprise, they are slashed to death by a shadowy, long-haired killer. Also parked, mature-looking teenager Brittany Murphy (as Jody Marken) says she's not ready for intercourse with eager beaver boyfriend Gabriel Mann (as Kenny Ascott). He doesn't get to be very persuasive because Ms. Murphy's blonde mom arrives to collect her daughter and a cigarette. It appears that smokin' mom might want to take Murphy's cute blond boyfriend for a ride, but the action moves elsewhere. The earlier victims are discovered to have the word "virgin" written among their bruises and another alleged virgin joins them in the afterlife. Realizing the killer is going after virgins, the high school-aged boys and girls afflicted with the condition decide to have a cherry-popping orgy...Though they are given many juvenile things to say, those pretending to be in high school are not. They sound like sixth graders and look like college students. Presumably, most of the virgins are in the lower grades, and are the least "desirable" looking kids. Not in Cherry Falls. Their orgy reveals bodies looking quite different than what you'd see in the average locker room. Young Murphy's scenes with sheriff father Michael Biehn (as Brent Marken) are sexualized – they seem more like potential lovers than father and daughter. Granted, this may be intentional. Schoolteacher Jay Mohr (as Leonard Marliston), revealed to be around 27-years-old, is age appropriate – but he seems like one of the kids around his cast-mates. The "foot scene" (you'll know it when you see it) is the most sexy. Direction by Geoffrey Wright is suspenseful.***** Cherry Falls (7/29/00) Geoffrey Wright ~ Brittany Murphy, Michael Biehn, Gabriel Mann, Jay Mohr
