One of my all time favorites.

good back-story, and good acting

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Really Tom Hanks did it again he's magnificent act did everything omg! Heart beats are totally hight, one of the best action thriller I've seen in my life, it's a pure masterpiece

The only thing that stood out to me in this movie was absolutely nothing. It was just a mediocre "wow Americans came and saved the day" type of movie. I can't really stand these super patriotic American movies anymore. Yeah i get it that its a true story but its the delivery of it that makes it unlikeable for me. I think I would've been for more impressed with it 20 years ago.Its the story of a cargo ship's captain and his crew who for some reason decide to fight against Somalian pirates with aks.

Captain PhillipsThe sweat, the blood, the tension and the urgency, everything is projected majestically that it is impossible not to get into it within a few minutes; its an exhilarating experience to encounter this feature especially since its 134 minutes long. Captain Philips hits fast and hard right into the guts of the viewers and the characters offering breathtaking action sequences and compelling counter-attacking arguments that pumps the heartbeat up. Paul Greengrass gets it right again; everything is up to the mark, brilliant execution, perfect editing and gripping screenplay. Tom Hanks is amazing in depicting a real person again; especially his breakdown at the last scene is something to look forward to, and is supported with a great performance by Barkhad Abdi. Captain Phillips is not a normal 'true story' feature, but a tightly packed entertainment that stays true to its nature and tone from head to toe.

Captain Phillips based on a true story is a very edge of your seat thriller. The directing and performances are brilliant, the scenery is different, and the catchy film score suits the movie.Apparently the real Captain Phillips was difficult to get along with, and apparently his crew couldn't stand him due to him apparently putting them in danger and ignoring warnings about the pirates. It's scary that the hijack was real, but the Hollywood depiction is just like every Hollywood movie based on real events - there will always be a lot of falseness added in a depiction to make it look more interesting.If you still haven't seen this film, i must warn you that there is a lot of shouting and screaming.Captain Phillips shows viewers the length that people will go to based on greed.
