The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Best of best. One of the few films that show the true reality of the street. Extra selected team, superb acting, great comedy, the film does not have a lot of extravagant make-up, no annoying characters who revolve millions, but an ordinary team off the street who makes a mess, all recommendations for this movie... If there's one word to describe this film it's - underrated. I must admit when I first seen this movie in the store, I was surprised I hadn't heard of it and I'm glad I got this little bargain bin gem. I'm a fan of gangster movies in general, in particular films in the 90's, and if you liked those type of movies I would recommend this film. The film does have a dark, gritty feel to it and Mickey Rourke really does a good job in this film as well as 2pac as the villain. This movie may seem like an action film, but its more a crime Drama as it has some depth and seriousness to it in terms of plot and characters.for what it is it's a good straight to video flick with a great cast (notice a young adrien brody and Donnie Wahlberg). Its definitely worth a watch.Overall : 7/10

I think bullet was one of the best movies I have seen. It wasn't about your typical African American gangsters. It was about a white Jewish kid who was very talented and bright, but went the wrong way due to the streets, drugs, people he hung out with and the simple fact that the family was your hardworking, struggling, middle class inner-city Americans in NY. The character who should have been nominated for every possible award was the brother Luis(played by Ted Levine). The movie is worth seeing just for his performance. ALthough he is a left-over from the Vietnam war, he is totally insane, but you have this compassion for him. He truly loves his family and brother and that shows in the final few clips of the movie. You can't help but get choked-up when he and the family were attending Bullet Stiens funeral and the brother, Luis, is standing in full military officers garb at attention with the dog. At the final moment of the scene, you can see a tear drop run down Luis's(Ted Levine's) cheek. (SPOILER COMING UP!!!!!!) In the next scene, he cuts Tanks(Tu-PAC) throat using his military training(same training he gave the neighborhoods kids in previous scenes). You get a sense that he is crazy, but is well aware of the situation. ALL in ALL an excellent movie. How about the scene were Lester is the bathroom with the two women in the toilet stall and he is screaming out"Who's the best looking Mutha F***er in this place?!?!?!". A total classic scene/line.

It is a movie that has invoked tremendous feelings in me, due to how closely related I am to this family situation. A family that loves each other but never can admit it. The cold, sarcastically funny environment and characters that come to light in this film make it real. The musical score that Mickey Rourke personally did is outstanding! Even at the beginning of the movie when they pan the upstate New York setting as John Enos and his brother come to pick him up from the penn, the music goes from classical to hip hop beautifully with the change of seasons and finishes with Barry White. Just a trippy movie with believable characters who we all grew up with in one way or another. The family dynamic is quite bizarre but real too. Any one who grew up Jewish and not wealthy can relate to it. I really dug this movie and ended up buying it. Check it out and try not to get all caught up in how you cannot relate to these people, flawed as they are but how you do relate to them on many levels.
