I don't know how this movie went under the radar but I'm glad I watched it just now.I thought Rob Schnider was finished after the Animal, that movie was just wasn't good. It had some good skits, but that was all. This movie features two actors I truly like Jennifer Morrison and David Carradine. And they were pretty damn good in this one.You can see when a movie has a heart, it cant be faked with CGI and awesome shots, it just has that something, an X factor I guess. My standards are for movie not to be stupid or insulting to the viewer (like many are unfortunately), and I figure, by now, I can spot what is a movie worth watching. This one, most definitely is.On the side note, best comedy prison movie is Mean Machine (UK movie), this one ranks number 2.

I used to think that "Wanted" was the worst film ever made, but now, after seeing "Big Stan" I know that this is the worst film ever made, and not even the movies of Uwe Boll and Ed Wood reach the lowest pits achieved by this horrible piece of trash. No words can describe how bad it is this film. It was the first movie directed by rob Schneider (Possibly the worst comedian of the entire history of cinema: He never made a single good film, he is not funny at all, he is not likable, and he always play disgusting and unlikeable characters) and the result is dreadful at best. The jokes doesn't work, the performances are terrible, and the story is just ugly and disgusting, without any single redeeming value. "Big Stan" is awful beyond words. Avoid this film like plague. The only reason why I'm giving this abomination one star, it's because I can rate it with negatives. "Big Stan" makes "Manos: The Hands of Fate" look like a masterpiece.-1000/10

This Is One Of The Funniest Rob Schnider Movies I've Ever Seen. I Saw The Trailer To This While In The Cinema Watching Disaster Movie. I Thought It Looked Funny. I Was Not Disappointed With Big Stan It Was Original & It Cracked Prison Jokes. The Plot Is That The fraudulent real state agent Stan is married with his beloved Mindy and has a seven million dollar fortune. When he is arrested for fraud, he is sentenced to three years in prison and his assets are frozen by the justice. However, his crooked lawyer Lew Popper negotiates a six month freedom, and the weak Stan, who is afraid of being raped in prison, hires the specialist in martial arts The Master to teach him self-defense. Six months later, Big Stan is sent to the Oaksburgh State Penitentiary totally confident in his expertise in martial arts. He challenges the violent leaders of the gangs and defeats them, being respected by the inmates and bringing peace in the patio. However, the dirty Warden Gasque has the intention of transforming the penitentiary in a luxury resort, and uses Big Stan knowledge to improve his project, promising to release him sooner using the corrupt penal system. There Is A Character Arc From A Prick To A Normal Man Like Iron Man. 8/10 Is My Best Offer For This Film

Rob Schneider proved his mettle with this movie. Not only did he act with perfect comedic timing, but directed the flick as well!! I first started watching his work on SNL like everyone else, but grew to love it when he did "Deuce Bigalow" movies. Those movies I could watch over and over again and "Big Stan" is no different. For me, it takes true comedic talent to make me actually laugh out loud and Rob Schneider delivers. Every time.Having the late, great David Carradine in this flick is just priceless. Carradine also delivers perfectly as "The Master". He has always been a joy to watch. He proves he can do comedy as well as drama and action movies. Loved watching him in this and only made me sad at his passing all the more.I would really love to see more trivia on this great flick, but more comments as well.I recommend this movie to anyone who just wants to laugh!
