This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

To be honest, I only tune in for the opening and ending music depending on the season, mostly the third and fourth seasons. I don't know who the targeted audience is, but I would not recommend to kids under thirteen....well I don't know if I would recommend it at all.I'm not a parent but the outfits bother me a lot as well as the transformation moves they do when transforming. It's too sexual in my opinion. There is a complaint, that their bodies are too skinny and unrealistic. That isn't my problem. It's just the clothes. You want to make tall, skinny girls, fine. But put them in clothes that fit. They don't need to constantly wear things that show their entire midsection or as much leg as you can without showing their private areas. It's ridiculous. Even their boyfriends sometimes seem to wear clothes that can't fit them as you can see their stomach a bit. Not as much as the girls but it is another example that tall people seem to have a problem finding clothes that fit.Which is ironic and hypocritical since there is a lot of talk about "fat acceptance" and how overweight people need to wear clothes that fit. Then it should apply to skinny people and that should show in cartoons like this. For me as an adult, the show is not my cup of tea because I like romance and this show focuses on it as little as possible. There is a video of all the kisses in the entire series and it is only two minutes and not even what I would call a kiss half the time. So yeah no. Not for adults who are looking for something with depth. But at the same time for it to be aimed at kids seems inappropriate with the clothing and some of the problems the girls have relationship wise. I honestly think half of their arguments are ridiculous.-Brandon is kissed on the cheek by another girl and Stella gets mad at him. -The guys go to help the girls find the last fairy and they get mad thinking the boys think they can't do something. If anything, the only message the show sends is the power of friendship and girl power as the so-called specialists always seem to need help fighting as their girlfriends are the only ones with powers. So yeah I can sense a bit of a sexist thing going. On the friendship part it could be aimed towards girls, but the skimpy clothes, are you trying to make it appealing to boys too, or are you trying to show girls they can only fight wearing next to nothing?

It use to be such a cute show.i was interested in it. But then, it just kept going on and on . you know how total drama island kept going on with the new islands and seasons? It was annoying and people barley watched it anymore, but it got good when they finally ended it. winx club just kept going on. Idk how many seasons, but every season had the typical, love interest, some evil great threat(s), something goes wrong or gets stolen, (one unimportant character dies), winx save the day. Oh I and I cant forget the god damn new power they earn every season. Winx, charminx, believex, random words with x added on. The transformations took to long , which ended the episode in a to be continued. but idk what year, but they just kept putting new episodes on Sundays. I didn't know, nickelodeon never alerted that there would be new episodes.. No one expected it because they thought the series was finally over. NO. I check back a week or 2 and there are no more new episodes. Its done, no more to be seen. I don't even think that show finished, but I don't care. No one did.

The Winx Club is okay, but it has so many flaws that it just isn't worth getting into. The plot focuses on Bloom, a girl who discovers she has magical abilities, and she goes to a school to learn magic with her friends while meeting boys who look like girls. The main characters are two-dimensional, nothing makes them individual aside from their powers (which aren't very exciting, either). They're all goody-two-shoes losers, caring about the environment and thinking about "meeting all the cute guys at school, eeeee!" They're drawn to look anorexic, you'd never see one of the characters drawn as being a little overweight or anything like in reality, and they're all dressed like Victoria's Secret models, in tiny skirts and half-shirts. They're all ditzes and it could be argued that this show rips of Trollz and Disney's W.I.T.C.H. although I don't think that was the intention. This show was on when I was a kid, and I still remember its popularity among the other neighborhood girls like me, but I was never really a fan or it (I was more of a Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? girl). Going back and watching the Winx Club as an adult only makes me realize how much is wrong with it. And what's sad is that the animation had potential to be used for something more creative and intelligent but instead it was thrown away for a show about superficial bimbos with fairy wings and magic powers.

This is an awesome fantasy series (my favorite genre) about a group of teenage fairies, their adventures in the world of Magix and also in their fairy school Alfea. Also I'm into fairies, witches, etc. I'd first watched it when it premiere on North American TV (I'm from Canada) and after that I love it. But I was shocked, surprised and flabbergasted by the negativity I heard on Keyframe, I mean it's all the matter of point of view you know. I also would like to point out that this show is my first glimpse at Italian animation, as this show was originally made in Italy. My favorite Winx girls are: Bloom: Fairy of The Dragon Fire, Princess Stella: Fairy of The Sun & Moon, Tecna: Fairy of Technology (love her accent), and... Princess Layla: Fairy of Water/Fluids.So anyway, I really love this series.
