Did you people see the same film I saw?
... View MoreI have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
... View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
... View MoreThis is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
... View MoreI love this show! It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy after I watch it. Life can be hard and sometimes you just want to curl up under a blanket and watch a show that just makes you smile and feel good! This show does exactly that. O.K at the beginning of the second season I got a bit annoyed because the costumes and hair were not of the period, but I eventually forgot about these things as I got into the stories and the characters. I mean, at the end of the day - who cares - I don't really want 'real life' anyway. I just want to transport myself to Hope Valley and live there.
... View MoreI know this is a Hallmark show which usually means a pretty and wholesome leading couple, but would it have hurt to give Elizabeth and Jack a bit more personality. Beaming smiles and adoring gazes don't really tell the story. I am not convinced that people love each other just because they state it repeatedly. The actors were doing their best but I actually found them boring. My favorite story line was Rosemary and Lee's romance. There was real warmth between the characters and it was lovely to see how they learned to love each other's little faults and to laugh at themselves. There were some details that didn't really fit the era. Elizabeth's hair was down all the time although decent women wore theirs up. I doubt that maids of honor would have had similar dresses made for a wedding when they didn't really have too much money and they would have been wearing the matching dresses years on in every finer occasion. The school/church was built near the pond on a very flat piece of land. It looked like it might flood in a storm. It will be interesting to see what the writers are going to do with Elizabeth. Is she allowed to live as a single mother for a while or will a tall dark stranger save her from the widowhood.
... View More...I would love to have an agent and a contract like Daniel Lissing. You arrive on set you kiss Erin...a lot, then you take off for a few, or more than a few episodes, and let all of the other cast members do the heavy lifting. Good luck with your career, Dan and don't forget to thank "When Calls The Heart," for the boost. Update: As of 04/15/2018, Jack Thornton is dead. I cannot know but can guess that Daniel preferred some other offer to his role on WCTH and turned his back on the show that gave him his level of prominence. He was good as Jack but I just don't believe he's ready for the "big time" and has made the mistake of so many entertainers in believing his own hype. As I said before, good luck Daniel.
... View MoreThis show is confusing! Automobiles mixed with horse and buggies and stage coaches! Color photographs. Simplistic dialogue. Predictable story lines. I won't be watching any more episodes.
