The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

I love this show and I loved the movie. I work from home and my two and five year old watch this all day long! LOL, but I don't mind because it is super cute and the songs are catchy and adorable. I know I'm terrible I'm 35 and I love cartoons as much as my kids LOL...so sue me :-) The animation wasn't as good as How to Train Your Dragon series but I get it they aren't going to spend Justin Timberlake big budget on this. But dialogue is clever and funny, voice acting is well done, love the banter between Poppy and Branch. It is a satisfying follow-up into the lives of the trolls. Only thing I'm wondering is why they made Bridget and Gristle so much uglier, haha they were so cute in the movie.

I agree with the last reviewer. It's not a series for adults. But as a mom I can tell you that my little girl is absolutely obsessed with this. She even did her first tv show binge when season 2 came out!!! And I will admit I really enjoyed some of the songs.

I can not review this as a Dad with an adult perspective. This series was not made for us. It is not like the family movie which it is based it is built for the very young who like bright colours and songs who love stories about friendship. It is episodic, the animation is familiar but it isn't quality, the voices are not the original cast members but you can't really tell. The story isn't progressed from the movie either (similar to the animated short) and I don't think they ever will. The series focuses on the side characters as much as the main, like Cloud Guy, the horse looking one and the guy that farts sparkles. If I have any real problem - is that my 3 and 6 year old can't binge more than 6 episodes in a row (right now) which means as a father I have already memorised all these episodes which my kids just repeat.
