There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

the character and the actress for Chloe,is really bad on both counts- irritating-not believable-annoying-and more;i have been watching this show for more than 20 years, and i have seen a lot of changes-story lines are usually good-cast is good-characters interesting-but this Chloe, and actress from all my children are both TERRIBLE-character should go?or actress changed?and changes for character-i have never made a comment before, but this time i really have to-or tune out when Chloe is in story for the day-i know many fans who share this feeling

As soaps go, this is by far the best. I watched religiously for 15+ yrs and recently came back and I love it. Acting, writing (some exceptions), production values, and personal charm of the actors....all top notch. Sure, it can get soapy to the point of being ridiculous but even that is fun. Could never waste my time on another soap. Hmmm, review must be at least 10 lines, well, must say that it has been fun catching up with the 'old timers' Victor, Nicki, Nick, Sharon, Jill, Phyllis, Jack, Ashley, Lauren, Paul, Katherine....they all look great, and tho I didn't think I would, am thoroughly enjoying the 'youngsters'. Thanks Y&R. Bummed about Cane tho :-(

As a little girl I remember listening to Young Dr. Malone on the radio with my grandma. Later I watched Search For Tomorrow,The Guiding Light, and As the World Turns with my mom. I was a young married woman when the Young and the Restless premiered in the early seventies. That haunting theme song is just as recognizable today as it was when I watched the show over thirty years ago. The original families of Genoa City, the Brooks and the Fosters kept me tuning in every week day. It was a half hour initially but you couldn't keep the antics of Laurie, Leslie and Peggy Brooks contained within thirty minutes once they crossed paths with Snapper, Greg, and Jill Foster. The original Snapper was so intense, it took a bit before I could accept "The Hoff" in that role but he grew on me. My favorite story line was the involvement of Laurie and Leslie Brooks with brothers Lance and Lucas Prentice. I especially remember Leslie playing the piano and singing "You Needed Me" while thinking of Lucas. It was simply beautiful. I can honestly say I haven't watched the show for many years. They completely wiped out the original characters except Kay, Brock and Jill. Does Jill even mention her brothers Snapper and Greg anymore?
