Waste of time

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

It started of good. It was intriguing, pulled you in, gave you hope of a good series. But the adults. Oh my, the adults, who are supposed to be smart, reasonable people, especially those who have high positions in the government. But no. The disregard everything they must have been taught. They act so stupid it makes me angry. And other people let them! It ruins everything. It's awful. Don't watch it.

First of all don't get me wrong, I love Doctor Who! And such a convoluted story revolving around an alien invasion, would just perfectly fit the universe of Doctor Who. There it could actually be fun.. But not as our hero's he would probably handle the situation, instead of making all the wrong the decisions every single episode. Or simply not doing what needs to be done: They could have resolved the situation multiple times, but they(the GOVERNMENT Agents) don't. But not only the main characters act illogically. The Government does it to! I mean nobody would probably let anybody with a child in charge, if you know that the child could be manipulated into manipulating you(by the way unlikely - what child would trust a voice over their own parents). But if you KNOW for a fact that somebody can and has been manipulated by their child, then NOBODY would leave that person in charge of anything! Especially in charge of handling the manipulator..Apart from logic the constant family drama is getting old very soon, even more through the fact that it slows down the storyline annoyingly.

I can't watch this without forwarding and forwarding. And yes I skipped whole episodes just to watch the ending to just know what it was all about. I don't feel like I miss much.Without trying to be redundant, this show is dumb. The adults are dumb, the choices are dumb, seriously killing a kid is even in discussion? if they are trying to push the envelope to be risqué, it didn't work. The plot from the beginning till the end did not even feel like the aliens endgame was to take the game. It more seemed like they were here to destroy the earth from inside out, actually I don't even know why they keep asking the kids to do things! And the parents! Have you not taught your kids right and wrong??? And not to listen to imaginary friends telling you to harm your parents and send seriously boring texts? If they kept the ending for shock factor, it failed tremendously. There was no buildup to the ending. The show just gave us twists and turns sending us everywhere except where it matters, characters that don't mean anything, possessions that didn't develop or need to develop. What could have been a good unique idea, became just desperate people running around and exercising their muscles. Seriously that mom that shot someone. Didn't it occur to her that she could just take her daughter to a place where there is NO electricity? She can't even say her husband wouldn't believe her story! For gods sakes even the President would believe her freaking story. She didn't have to shoot the guy.

Listen to the reviews.This show is a waste of your time, or it will be if you start watching it, cause by the time it starts to be a total garbage is too late.You already watched 5-6 episodes.OK let me explain.The idea of the show is great if you are in to the sci-fi things.The actual visual outcome in screen is pretty much OK too,the show has a good start and improves a bit by building up the mystery and thrill.And when you get actually hooked they start messing everything up at the point that no matter how hooked you are you just cant disregard the stupidness and the wrong details.We are talking about major flaws in both script and human relations and interactions in the point you will actually raise your hand and slap your forehead (facepalm) for how "alien" they show human behavior . the rating 3 is because the first 3 episodes where OK. You have been warned.
