    Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

Could not understand most of the dialogue-mumbling and voices too low. When woman steps off bomb, they could have given her at least a helmet and a vest AND a barrier for her to hide behind!

I'm astonished that not everyone gives this show a 9 or a 10. The only American TV shows I've watched that are comparable in quality would be Breaking Bad and the Wire. The Tunnel has the perfect set-up, compelling acting not only by the leads but by the whole cast, multliple levels of meaning and allegory, and outstanding production values. A great story line and a great picture of modern life, as we know it and love it.

Granted we have not watched the Scandi version of this series- But my Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this series right through to the suspenseful end in season 3. The acting is phenomenal! The 2 lead actors are amazing. Very real performances. Once we watched one episode we could not wait to the watch the next. If you have not watched the Scandi version- you will thoroughly enjoy this series. Stephen Dillane and Clemence Posey are perfect in their roles. The support cast are also brilliant. The first season was particularly awesome.People who have seen the Scandi version, may not like this and see it just as a copy of the original , however, they should not let their biased viewpoints stop others from watching and forming their own opinions. I would thoroughly reccommend you watch this and form your own opinions. We feel at loss now as the show has ended. A fab UK/France collaboration!!!

The show started very strongly, the characters were developing well, but towards the end around the episode 7 mark it drifted to weakness and story creep. It appeared as if the writers got a sudden bout of writers fatigue and rushed to finish the plot. The scrambled voices were no more, the scenes towards the end tended to be idiotic and a waste of good talent. Which leads me to shining redeeming qualities and that's Pousy, Dillane and to some extent Mawre. I feel they could have developed his arc much better. A guy who supposedly was so secretive and used such byzantine methods turned out to be just another run of the mill psycho with just 1 dimension. What a waste of what could have been.On another note I could see Stannis and Uncle Benjen shining.
