This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

We have watched The Ranch from the beginning and was amazed at how well, the comedy and drama come together. With a quality list of great actor's that are at their best, it has to be a winner.

We binged watched the first 2 seasons last fall and were quite entertained. Some episodes were better than others and the plot line got slow a couple times. The end of season two was predictable, but still we were anxious for season 3. Unfortunately, the writers have taken the language of a cliff. I grew up in a rural area and no one really swore like they are this season. They have always sworn and Rooster has always been vulgar, but they took it to a whole new level this season. We cannot binge watch this season, because it's just too much vulgarity. We can only watch, at best, 2 episodes before having to take a break for a week or two. It's sad, because the story lines are just as compelling, the acting still pretty good (though Debra Winger was awful until about halfway through season two), and it's a good mix of comedy & drama (especially Ashton Kutcher). Regardless, we'll muddle through the rest of season 3, but we hope it gets better.

With every citcom these days being bloated with political correctness and office drama's it's great to have a show coming from a different direction. It's well written and very well acted. I'm from a small working town and they really nailed the feel of small town America. I sincerely hope Netflix keeps this show going for quite a while because although there movie updates can sometimes be lackluster shows like this make me click that Netflix icon at night vs Prime or Hulu.

One of my favorites. You have to stick with it for the first few episodes and get to know the characters there is no way you can just watch it for a few minutes and say its boring or doesn't have much of a story line, as it takes a few episodes for the characters and story to evolve. I read about the canned laughter I must be deaf as I never noticed. Also people moaning about the length of the Intro which turned them OFF the show, really I mean it says you can SKIP the intro, so what is the problem. This is not meant to be a fall over laugh out loud comedy. Its got funny and humours bits yes, but its about a disjointed family with a father who is uber critical of everything his sons do and doesn't really realise that the reason why they are like they are is because of him. Also he is incapable of forming a female relationship since his break up of his marriage. He just cant let go of the way he was brought up himself. I love the characters, and over the seasons it has got more and interesting. It has sad bits too, emotional bits, funny bits, but its about growth of a family and acceptance of who they are. If you want to watch laugh out loud comedy this is not the show, but if you want to watch a real family learning to live together with all the trials and tribulations that go with it, touched with humour then this is for you. The darkness towards the end did not spoil the show for me as there was a reason Roosters Character was removed but it was done in such a way that the actor could be able to come back. I cant wait for the next part I think Netflix to be honest have some of the best shows now earthy, meaty, funny, good story lines, and they are they only shows i actually binge watch. The acting is superb, Sam Elliot i could have socked him a few times he really annoyed me which is what his character called for, and I love Debra Winger i wish she had more part in this show. Anyway its a great show.
