In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

As an addict to the news, I watched the first season with a great pleasure. However, as the criticts became a bit too demanding for season 2, Aaron Sorkin took a complete different turn, which I appreciated but did not quite expect. For season 3, he tried to finish the show in a proper way but was still under the pressure of the critics. So, overall, it seems to me that only season one reflect what the point of the series was: showing how hard the constant reporting of the news can be as it is always about reporting the information first, whichever the sources may be.

Vintage Sorkin. Many of the elements from Sports Night are reprised here and I'm perfectly ok with that. The cast is superb, and there's plenty of rapid-fire dialogue to please the purists. I found the political rants in S1 a bit sanctimonious and heavy-handed (think Toby Ziegler on steroids) but he dials it back in S2-3. There is some non-linear storytelling in S2-3 along with a full-season story arc in S2 which was well done. I was sorry to see it end. I've grown attached to the characters and wanted to see what was next for them.

I was a big fan of the West Wing, so I started The Newsroom with impatience and delusion and wow ! It took me just five minutes to jubilate! I was in front of my screen and I said to my self 'I love this show already so much, I think I am falling in love'. The screenplay and the characters are amazing but the best with Aaron Sorkin, as always, are the dialogues: clever, impactful, pleasurable. Not to mention the magic of some scenes, with fulgurances and delightful craziness. For me, it's the best TV show ans I will always keep it a place in my heart.

Aaron Sorkin is my favorite writer and A Few Good Men is my all time favorite movie. Unfortunately is everything in this show great on paper, but poorly executed. You can almost taste what the show was supposed to be. All the way from the flashy intro that looks good but just doesn't stick in your mind, to the dialogue which is genius but it just doesn't break through, for some reason.A very forgettable show.
