One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
... View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
... View MoreThere's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
... View MoreStrong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
... View MoreThroughout the show, Mindy is a self-centred bully who is mean to everyone. As a woman of colour who does not have the "perfect body" (according to society), she could have been the perfect role model for young girls and even women who feel like they are not good enough because of their body type or skin colour. Instead, she is a mean-spirited character who is obsessed with finding a man, and keeps referring to herself as thin, although it is clear that she is not, making women feel like they need to be skinny to be beautiful and achieve greatness. in addition to that, Mindy is a horrible person who treats her peers in a rude and obnoxious manner; she always insults them, Morgan in particular, and does not care for their feelings. I have watched all of the episodes in hope that her character will change, but it did not happen. Another issue that I have with this show is Danny's character. He is a stubborn, misogynist, and primitive guy who always thinks he is right. Making Mindy become a housewife without even consulting her and asking for her opinion on the matter is just absurd. Saying that she cares more about her career than having a family was a huge slap in the face for every mother who has a child/children and is still working and building a career for herself. This show could have been amazing, teaching the upcoming generation how treat, and be treated well. Instead, all it did was tell girls that they need a husband to be happy, that they can't be both mothers and career-women, and taught boys that it is okay to degrade women.
... View MoreThe character Morgan ALWAYS cracks me up. There is something really hilarious, ridiculous and noteworthy about him. Good creation Mindy! The way Morgan contrasts with everything else about the show. There is this Doctor with her own issues but on the other side of it this complete side kick of Mindy has become really relevant to the show.
... View MoreOkay, she is the main character, BUT she is so full of herself, the world revolves around her, the way she treats others is not funny it's just bitchy. Gave it a shot, but after 6 episodes I'd rather watch the laundry dry. Some very good supporting characters, they deserve the 6 stars...
... View MoreThe first season of the Mindy Project was OK. There was some good chemistry. And the running jokes were funny.By season three, the jokes were VERY STALE, and the cast changes were hurting the show. Betsy just disappeared. She was a fun contrast to the others, and she was just gone. No explanation. Morgan continues as the clown, but the act is the same. Mindy makes jokes about her being a hottie, being slim and fit, and the near constant running jokes about how much food she eats. Nothing original. Jody was added to the cast, and I thought it might improve, but that did not help much. Danny was phased out, and the rest just muddled along.
