Absolutely Fantastic

... View MoreThe American Security Officials portrayed include a three-timing, arrogant, spendthrift womaniser (Daniels), a cold, calculating psychpath (Sarsgaard), a robotic, calculating automaton (Schmitt), a venal fraidy-cat (Cancelmi), oh, and a nice, concientious whiskey-swilling Muslim. The Muslims are either clean, noble men of integrity or dirty misguided Jihadis who cannot read the Koran properly. It has to be explained to the Jihadis that Islam is actually peaceful...by the whiskeyed Muslim. He tells them that the at-Tirmidhi Hadiths are disputed, which is a lie. He get's them to read: "If anyone slays a person, it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people." which is not actually in the Koran. He tells Daniels the business with the 72 virgins is non-Islamic, blah-blah-blah. This show counts on the viewers credulousness and the many high ratings are testament to the incurious bovine nature of the reviewers. It's an obscenity that it portrays 9/11 as as much the result of a bumbling collection of mental illnesses as it was by an ideology that had then, and does still, seek to destroy the West.
... View MoreThe Looming Towers is a decent drama depicting events which led up to 9/11. We think we know. We guess. But this seems to fill in some blanks pretty well. I know the whole show isn't 100% accurate and the story is part fiction, but the gist is there and it's told really well. The gist is that the FBI and the CIA were in a p****ng contest over power and neither would share information with each other. Had they shared info, maybe 9/11 could have been avoided. The story gets a little drug out with the personal side of the two main characters. It kind of distracts the focus of the story. Nobody really cares that one guy had extramarital affairs or that the other has a girlfriend. It leant nothing to the story -- and even kind of cheapens it. Those parts could've been left out to tighten the show a bit.Overall -- It delivers a good story, was well acted and is worth seeing. Kudos to HULU for original, interesting content.
... View MoreView if your want to understand the SJW/Progressive narrative in regards to the reasons for and who's to blame for being "too busy" to concerns themselves with "the number 1 threat to national security". Even The Patriarchy" gets its credit for the failure. When Daniels gives his usual "Woke" speech, (to his priest): "The world's in Chaos. Okay. Men screw everything up. I know I'm part of that. We both know I'm part of that. But i'm trying to put things right " Then they cut to him going doggy style to one of this two mistresses. It's okay though because it's just a dramatization "inspired by" the events of 9/11 for the other 80% of its content.
... View MoreI dont need to belittle the awesome awful tragedy of 9/11, & its a real pity that this story lumbers along sooooo slowly - the recent episode 8 could have realistically been told in 15 minutes - because it is superbly acted & no expense spared production wise. the producers have obviously tried to get a 10 episode return out of what is basically a 6 episode plot
