The greatest movie ever!
... View MoreSERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
... View MoreI am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
... View MoreThe acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
... View MoreOf course all that occurs here is 100% ridiculous , not possible, total fiction even science fiction but thats the beauty of Covert Affairs.Although sometimes I wonder why anyone would present the CIA as been operated by a married couple like it was their own souvenir shop. However, every chapter stands on its own, although there is a thread that goes between all chapters. This is fast paced chain of events, where we are taken to actual locations around the globe. There is suspense, mystery, romance , nice entertaining sometimes funny 45 minutes.Christopher Gorham is amazing in his character a a Blind Ops tech Handler Auggie Anderson.he is indeed amazing.,Gregory Itzin is again the slimy crooked manipulative character , just like in 24!
... View MoreCovert Affairs is a show that starts interesting and with each season grows in it's entertainment and level engagement as the story line deepen and grow. Half way through season 5 I'm updating this review and my rating as season 4 took to a level few shows achieve with me. I like how they've taken us with a novice CIA agent at the beginning who gets progressively better with each season with her starting as a talented rookie she quickly raises her stock to a driven professional who has gone dark and from not carrying a gun to plugging the bad guys with regularity, and satisfaction (mine). The depth and intensity of the story grows right along with the character such that by the beginning of Season 4 each show is leaving me at the point where I can't stop and need to see the next episode to get more answers. Since I am streaming the show this only presents the problem of burning through the episodes to fast and being left without a favorite show to watch sooner than I would like. Bottom line is if you like an spy based action adventure then give the show a chance and I think you'll enjoy the ride. It has flaws, but the purpose is to entertain and engage and with each additional episode it does just that at an increasing level. Unfortunately season 5 lost its way and the apex of the show turned out to be the season finale for season 4. At that point there was a wonderful plot just laying there for Annie to return to Augie and move upward and onward. Instead they changed the formula and destroyed the show. What more evidence is needed than barely caring to watch the end of season 5 and having it cancelled shortly thereafter. Sad to see so much potential wasted, would be happier to have had it shut down after the end of season 4 and lived with what could have been than to see what they did to it. Still love it. Look at SOA, 6 masterpiece seasons with a final season that I couldn't hardly watch. Still think it is a great show, but final season killed it. Well in this case the writers in season 5 truly did kill it as it is officially cancelled which is what actually got me to watch the last 3 episodes. Sad when so much was there.
... View MoreWith all those great shows being canceled how is it possible for this show to continue??? I mean Piper Perabo is amazingly unbelievable as a CIA Operative. An then she is supposed to be the best in many years according to the test she got as a trainee?? The Real CIA most be falling on the floor laughing about the disinformation this show creates. A stupid talentless obvious performance. The only one in this show that acts believable or just acts good is Peter Gallagher. The writing and the acting are at best terrible. I felt i got more stupid watching this show than watching Jerry Springer! Somebody involved in producing this show must be related to a network executive and that combined with a lot of stupid teenage viewers unfortunately. They would be better of watching paint dry. Please cancel this show and I will sleep better at night!
... View MoreI'm not a big fan of spy shows in general but could not endure yet another rerun of an outdated Law & Order episode. Compared to the CSIs of Miami who wear spikes and low cut tops to every crime scene, at least Annie Walker makes appropriate wardrobe choices for each assignment. Toward the end of the last season however, I did notice Annie getting a bit cocky and a might careless in her actions. She wait only a second or two before entering an area an enemy has just walked away from; what if the guy decided to turn back because he forgot something? In any case, watching the reruns on Sunday, June 22 I realized I missed the last few episodes of the last season entirely and am now caught up. I really didn't expect Henry to finally be put to rest after Annie and her back up team seemed like a crew of amateurs in every episode up to the last 15 minutes of the very last episode. Thankfully the "Henry" saga isn't being dragged into yet another never ending chase sequence for another season. I am glad it ended the way it did and not just with Annie being face to face with him at the end making us wait for the first episode of the new season to find out what happened. Fortunately she had the will to pull the trigger at the end and I'm also very grateful she got away from the guy who was just about to begin torturing her for information. That was sickening even to think about and I'm glad it ended quickly and she got away from him and a frightful fate. I do look forward to the new season set to begin on Tuesday, June 24th I believe. I only hope that each plot begins and ends quickly and moves on to the next. I hate spending the entire season chasing after one bad guy.
