Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

You want to know why this show lasted only one season? The writers started with a plot that they could not handle. That's right writers and creators, you could not handle the big picture, so what did you do? You wasted our time with another pathetic love story, and used human character defects as your crutch to replace actual drama. Good God, can you be more pathetic? Where and the hell are they breeding this type of sloppy production? Oh, and in place of actual talent, I will just create a fictional reality show where characters plot and scheme against each other with no clear direction or linear progression. Ya, and btw, your audience is more mature than you. While you are still fascinated with female sociopathic villains, and frilly high school love affairs, the rest of us are too intelligent to sit through it. I have a plan. Why don't you sit down and write something you think a mature audience would like, instead of writing a show that reflects only your own narcissistic interests.

You know, the initial concept was good, but the script writing was horrible, predictable, and poor. The main plot device wasI want to trust you but at the last minute someone else did something that makes it so I can't. Or.... how do I get you to do what I want in spite of the fact that you think I am lying to you...The plot drifts. Parts of it never really make sense. The Event that the title comes from never materializes and it looks like it was supposed to be the main focus of a second season that didn't happen. The political aspects are completely unrealistic unless you are 12 years old and dealing with siblings. The "science" is silly and unrealistic or made magical. The acting is stiff. Towards the end the music becomes overpowering in an effort to make the viewer feel that the plot is advancing when all too often the episode is just filling space. Not worth it... don't bother.

I really do enjoyed the flashbacks which helped to put the puzzle together in the first few episodes. My girlfriend said it's too complicated, but it's obviously not overcomplicated. You just have to watch it carefully to not miss a second from the plot.I strongly hope that the writer of the series will find a new home for this title, because people all over the world try to claim for the 2nd season. In Hungary, there is a phrase for it: "Pénz beszél, kutya ugat." translated= "Money talks, dogs are barking." It means, only profit matters :(This title obviously has a great potential in the story, I'm sad that I can't see it finished. There are many open questions, like who are the protectors (group of protective angels)?, or how the new breed managed to live on the earth first before us!?, is truly the president's wife a new breed?, etc. Interesting to say at least and last :)I wanted to say some about the casting: The actors are great, honestly, mostly all of them. My personal favourites are Mr. Lee (gov. agent) and Blake (the director of the CIA) as it's absolutely awesome to see, how their character evolve during the episodes.

I remember when this show came out I saw an ad claiming that it was 24 meets LOST. They were obviously trying to capitalize on all the fans of those two shows who suddenly found themselves without a favorite show on TV. Unfortunately, as it turned out this show was exactly that, however it was the worst of 24 and LOST. The never-ending cliff hangers and plot twists that left you beating your head against the wall. At first it was exciting until you realized that they didn't ever plan on addressing any of the mysteries directly. They were just going to give a couple episodes at a time and then go into another month or two long hiatus in which you are wondering why they just killed half of the main characters on a bus. I stuck with it as long as I could, but at the end, watching the show was just torture for me. There were some promising moments and the show even had a promising premise, but the writing never capitalized on them. Instead we were teased to the point of anger and hostility and finally abandonment.
