The greatest movie ever made..!
... View MoreAbsolutely Fantastic
... View MoreExcellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
... View MoreThrough painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
... View MoreFirst season was quite interesting, but it's been on a fast downhill slide from there, and I believe with season 4, they've hit the bottom. Too many new characters with perspectives you just don't care about, and scenes bordering on the absurd - A doctor dying of cancer who wants his 40-something girlfriend to have a child he will not raise, a woman who goes into hysterics at the possibility that her child has some form of cancer, a walkabout that finds a woman who came up with some nonsensical game to get her married beau to forget about her, and so on and so on. At this point, we're watching just to see how silly this thing gets. Hopefully this season is the end of it.
... View MoreI liked "The Affair" right from the start but it seemed like it had nowhere to go after dealing with the initial story of Alison and Noah's love affair. The blossoming of the new story threads has made the show wonderful and added so much depth. I am enjoying the show more than ever and the writers are doing a great job of enriching the series.
... View MorePresently watching Series 4 , having seen this series from the start. Great storylines based upon an initial affair with the lead Dominic West and a waitress in US. Storylines unwind as the years progress and the characters inter mingle and argue love and fight. Great "Must Watch" series with first class acting by all the main characters
... View MoreThis 'Affair' has run its course. The change in venue in Season 4 to sunny California from Brooklyn/Montauk is officially the serie's kiss of death. You wonder which overpaid Showtime producers/ writers/executives came up with this idiotic idea. Remember HBO's 'True Detective'? They tried a change of location in Season 2 and there was no Season 3. And of all places! Southern California? LaLa Land? These lifelong New Yorkers and native Montaukers all decide to try to seek their fortunes in the Golden State? We love the realism here. The move west is perhaps a blessing in disguise. It only demonstrates that this affair has run out of steam. Honestly, the love making scenes between the two main characters are not only boring, but not at all erotic. Yawn! The supporting characters were always far more interesting. California, you can have all these transplanted meatballs. In the end, New York wins!
