Those who are giving bad reviews are basically bashing some bad acting from teenagers, I agree on that. Some of the teens and even the lead actress acted poorly. But are we here really for acting? f you did, then better go to a proper drama series, this is sci-fi. To watch and appreciate a sci-fi show, you need an imaginative mind. The efforts from the production team in creating a Cretaceous like atmosphere is commendable. There should have been more dinosaurs but the show is not just about the dinosaurs. Stephen Lang is totally awesome! Jason did well. There are some cliches but sci-fi is about leaving some things to imaginations. To everyone who says why they went back 85 million years back when they knew there will be asteroid hitting the earth after 20 mya, its a parallel world where they went and they did not exactly know which time period are they going to. This s a great show.

I loved Terra Nova, and I miss it as it had so many interesting story threads interwoven, very very few shows have that. And as of today I have nearly stopped watching TV, I read instead for nearly everything else lack that bright spark of imagination, most of the stuff running now is just rehash of older stuff we all have seen once or twice before.

The CGI did a good job with the dinosaurs, they look amazing and the environment is perfect although some fast moving scenes looks like a 1990 game. For some people i think it can be insulting the total lack of black people, at least on the "good side" but the actors are OK. The major problem is the erratic behavior, especially on teenagers doing dumb things just to sustain the drama. The character construction are obvious like we have a doctor and her husband just happens to be a great cop. The main plot is good but turns unbearable fast with the obvious solutions, poor script, trick science to solve everything, and events that ends without proper explanation like the usurper doctor.Terra Nova is pretty fair if you like sci-fi and there is nothing better to watch but i will just vote 6 out 10 cause they could do a better job just doing a better script and not considering that all spectators are dumb so the 6 points go to the art director and the original concept.
