Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

There are many overrated/underrated anime movies and shows, but this one absolutely deserves all the great marks it got. And this is why.1. Well-balanced and interesting scenario. Bright mix of sci-fi, humor, drama and action. It gets really exciting, when it comes to main events – time traveling and ethical choices/sacrifices need to be made. Many scenes are massively emotional, serious and intellectual ones, many are funny and witty, with lot of unexpected turns and small memorable moments. It will surely make you laugh, but also make you think about many eternal important things: time, fate, friendship, devotion, love, not to be selfish and overconfident, to be responsible in your scientific and common curiosity.2. Amazing characters. Their interactions, chemistry, relations with each other and their progress through the series are just outstanding. Even secondary personalities have their stories to tell, which are interesting to watch.3. Good animation. Maybe not masterpiece, but well done, good detailed and not too "animeish". Many genuine Japanese things (locations, landscapes, nature, urban customs, way of life, etc.) are showing. Truly enjoying.4. High-quality music. Maybe I'm not an expert, but Steins Gate opening is absolutely unbeatable. There was no single time I skip it watching the show (it should be noted that I've watched Ukrainian- dubbed version of the show, where opening was performed in Ukrainian and little bit more rock-style; but original Japanese is good as well). Other soundtracks are also bright and emphasizes the emotions very naturally. First parts of the show may seem not so exciting as following ones. At first glance they are "ordinary", "childish" and a little bit incomprehensible, hard to get into. But never mind it, you'll understand those unclear moments watching the rest parts of the show. As well as you'll see that "slow start" of the series is "not a bug, but a feature" – it is necessary to make proper dynamic and emotional contrast with the later parts.Resume: Steins Gate is truly worth watching series and I highly recommend it for everyone, even non-anime fans. Sure you won't regret it. If you loves the time-traveling stories, it will grab you and won't let you go right to the very end. 10/10.

Steins;Gate is the anime adaptation of a visual novel made by 5pb and Nitroplus and it tells the story of Rintaro Okabe and his group of friends when they discover a way to send email messages to the past. This is one of my favorite anime of all time and it is probably because of its amazing characters and brilliant story. The anime shows us a very unique time travel story that has a perfect mixture of drama and comedy. Sometimes it is hilarious and other times it is sad and it is able to handle this both tones perfectly. As expected from a time travel story, it uses some clichés we all know but it gives its own twist on it so that the story never appears boring or predictable. The anime may start boring for some people, but the first episodes are crucial to introduce all of the characters and if you give it the opportunity you will be amazed. What makes me like Steins:Gate the most are their memorable and likable characters. They are the first thing I think about when someone mentions Steins;Gate. Every character is unique and special in its own way and their interactions are what keeps this anime interesting from beginning to end.Compared to other animes the animation in Steins;Gate is not very good, but it doesn't mean it is bad. The animation gives the characters and the environment a very realistic look and this helps a lot when watching the series. It isn't remarkably good, but it isn't bad either.Overall, Steins;Gate is an amazing anime and I totally recommend it to anyone who is a fan of time travel stories and science fiction. It was one of the first animes that I enjoyed and it deserves to be watched by more people.

As a science fiction anime, it has unbelievable logically theoretical base. The theory of "World Line" is well developed which makes me admire the screenwriter very much. At first, this anime is annoyingly confusing, and I don't know what is happening at all. The mad scientist has a lot of confusing and embarrassing dialogue. However, as the story goes on, he gradually turns upset and desperate because of countless times of failure. As a man out of the screen, I can even feel the agony and helplessness seeing him trying to save Mayuri again and again. At the end, the exciting ED and operational declaration bring the mad scientist that we are familiar with back and save the world(present and future) at last. I really want to stand up to cheep for him. By the way, EL PSY CONGROO!

Nitroplus and .5pb have a great mind for creating such a good anime.Steins;Gate is one of the most unbelievable anime of the world. It makes you travel across the world lines(Sekai-Sen) even though you know that they do not exist in reality. The pretzel logic of time travel and alternate time lines coinciding with original world line makes it the best anime ever. Any user who gave low rating out there, or said that first episode is boring or said that unintelligent people inventing time machine is wrong. The show can given infinity out of ten, due to its immense concept in time-travel and it can be given low rating due to episode 22. But if there is no episode 22 there is no episode 23,23 beta ,24,25, Steins;Gate Movie:Fuka Ryouiki no Deja Vu and obviously no Steins Gate 0. Every loop-hole gets sealed showing why this incident has happened. We can even praise the voice actors(Japanese) Mamoru Miyano, Kana Hanazawa and others.Mamoru Miyano is one of the greatest voice actors even seen. His voice modification from Light Yagami(Death Note) to Okabe Rintarou(Steins;Gate) has given me goosebumps. I also request the Japanese people to improve their English speaking skills or (to the users) enjoy totally in the episodes 15 and 25. "Steins;Gate 0" I can hardly wait!!!
