When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

I really watch the show I fell asleep when I watch it. Theme song was catchy. The scene one star get arrested and one get killed. I mean there are many people get killed in film. Great connection with Alexandra and here mother have relation mother daughter. The story about mystery past of main girl's father. The question what connection with Empire lyon?? People really find next renewed seasons.

***may be spoilers*** I really like Star. It's different. The mix of Star, her sister and the little rich girl are entertaining. Jahil, and the athlete, both are men you can have a love/hate relationship with. They are so great at times and then they make the worst decisions and you just want to scream at them. Queen Latifah does an outstanding job of showing her feelings and being down to earth. Her relationship with her daughter evolves in a heartbreaking way. The daughter, herself, keeps you coming back to find out the outcome of her situations. I hope it continues as I look forward to traveling with the girls as they trudge to stardom.

Jude Demorest's acting is nauseating....They have her trying to hard to be raunchy and "hood". She is a hot mess and I'm not convinced. I like the premise of what this show is trying to be but right now, it is pure garbage. Too much going on and too many side stories. It's ALL OVER the place. I tried making through the first 2 episodes and could not. The best thing about this show is Queen Latifah. She is the most believable character. The others, not so much. I think they should have done better at casting Star's role. I would also do less of the salon scenes. They seem to be filling up space and exist to only have extra drama effect. Every scene in the salon seems pointless.

The first episode of this show was pretty interesting. It's not really a new story line for a show but it's refreshing on bringing different races and sexualities together. However, by the third episode, the cringe started to really set in. In this show, they don't really tell you how old the girls are. I guessed Star is to be going on 18 since she said to the social worker that she is almost legal to get her sister. So, I'm assuming Simone and Alexandra are 17. Simone my be able to pass as 17 but Alexandra and Star come across 20 plus, especially Star. They should have made them roommates in an apartment in their 20's trying to make it big. Ages 21-25, those ages are still young. Star is seducing people much older than her and club hopping at 17?Star, Alexandra, and Simone all have this rebellious attitude. It's either against each other or others. Anyone who talks to them in this show they have to respond with attitude. It seems like it's in every episode thus far. They can relax sometimes. Carlotta, everyone in the salon, Alexandra's mom and dad have attitude too. It's too much attitude. There are some things in this show that are cringy and corny. Like, some of the musical scenes and some of the things that are said in scenes. All in all the first episode was decent but it's going downhill from there for me. I don't want to elaborate too much because I don't want to spoil it for those who are interested in watching it.
