    It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

    A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

    The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

    Who in their right mind would turn to MTV for a soap opera? Spyder Games' sole existence was obviously because MTV had 30 minutes to use up, which could have easily been done by showing some Cribs reruns or, here's a thought.some VIDEOS?It's not that the acting was bad, it's that the characters were uninteresting and the storylines went nowhere. I'm glad this show got laid to rest quick.Anthony Rupert

    As the story progresses it became quite interesting. It certainly moves at a faster pace than the traditional daytime soap. Certainly MUCH better than that other nebie soap Passions in my opinion. Shawn Batten is excellent and rocks and I hope to see her in more in the future.

    Okay. This is my new favorite soap opera. "Spyder Games" basically deals with the corrupt and out of whack Carslile family, and their father Boris, who created the video game corporation known as Spyder Games. Dimitri Carslile is back in Fort Kent after a stint in Hollywood, and the only daughter Natalia is busy as a powerless vp at the company. The youngest of the Carslile brood, Sasha (and, by the way, is a dead on lookalike w/ Ryan Philippe), is busy getting his rear end in all sorts of trouble and gettin his freak on w/ someone that is seven years older than him-the beautiful 23-year old Taylor. Little does he know that his best girl friend Cherish Pardee is head over heels in love w/ him. Meanwhile, the second oldest Carslile, Ivan, is getting ready to marry his sweetheart Kate. May I add that Ivan and Natalia both hate their father, while Dimitri is the pet and Sasha is spoiled w/ Boris' lax attitude. What happens next?? Well, you're just gonna hafta find out. Okay, time for the review! This is a great show. Funny subplots, very delicately worked mysteries, and kickass scandals that'll make you gasp. See the wedding episode and see what I mean. It's crazy! I think my favorite female character is the owner of Come-On's Boutique (Daphne), where Taylor and Cherish both work. She's hilarious and wacky and totally into soap operas. She misses an intricate part of the plot because she was tuned in to BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, for god's sake! I don't like Taylor. She's a total B**** for telling Cherish to go for Sasha while secretly boinking him in the janitor closet!...Okay okay, you got me...my favorite male character has GOT to be the most BEAUTIFUL man I've EVER SEEN, Sasha Carslile. He is SO GORGEOUS! And I totally think that Robert Hutchinson (the guy who plays him) will go really far. All in all, watch "Spyder Games"!

    okay, so this isnt a GREAT show or anything..but it is a lot of fun...kinda like "passions"..the story line is obvious, most of the performances are to be expected of the unexperienced cast..but a few do stand out..shawn batten is great! so are a couple other perfs. watch spyder games if you want a little escapism..not to watch a show that will win any awards.
