    Lack of good storyline.

Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

I have recently just finished watching this show and I am not really impressed at all. Here is some word of advice watch Spiderman 1994, The new Spiderman adventures, Spectacular Spiderman, Ultimate Spiderman or the new Marvels Spiderman instead you will be glad you did. Okay, so Spider-Man arrives at this earth where there is for some reason animal people and regular humans living on the same earth but on separate sides that is all controlled by the High Evolution (who for some reason is a regular human instead of a robotic type of character) and John Jameson who is from the same earth as Spider-Man is with the rebels. Peter meets this woman called Naoko I can't tell if she is Chinese, Japanese or Korean and her son called Shayne the black kid. In later episodes we see Eddie being separated from the Symbiote and we see Venom and Carnage become this monster thing. The last episode the Rebles get captured by the High evolution to kill all the humans. I don't know anything about the Tony the tiger guy's statues whether if he is good or bad. Final moment we see a gold symbiote rise from the surface and that's the end of the whole series. Major Plot twists it turns out that the Green Goblin is the husband and father of Naoko and Shayne, Daniel had a brother who was working for the bad people and ends up getting eaten up by Shark men and it turned out that Karen was the High Evolutionary granddaughter. Green Goblin speaks in a new york accent and has a weird design, the Vulture is some hipster, Kraven the hunter is just addressed as The Hunter and doesn't even have the accent and don't get me started about his design horrible attempt. Carnage has a skeleton like body with bones coming out from his shoulders and for some reason his voice sounds too much like Venom and Electro is an eel or a wheesal? The problems I have with this show is just too much for a Spider-Man cartoon, their are too many flashbacks of each Rebels and past events of the previous show on to of that too much family facade. But I can't say it is all bad because it had a cool theme song and the voice actor of Rino Romano and Brian Drummond as Spider-Man and Venom were both good.If this was a continuation of Spiderman 1994 why were the voice actors changed and why is the animation honestly I would have preferred another season of that show instead because the last season was a let down and there was so many questions and plots to be answered and finish. But they had to make this mess and leave it at the same stage as the previous one. What was Saban thinking when he decided to change is suit? If he ended the series with "Too be continued" at least give us a final episode but we can't now because of the Disney and Marvel merge on top of that Sony and Saban have the licenses to this show. People are fighting for their so called precious Spectacular Spider-Man (which is also better then this) to come back but not this show. I am just glad I have still got the current Spider-Man show Marvel's Spider-Man and I am looking second season to recover from this abomination. This Spider-Man show will never be as good as the newer one. Better plots, storylines, character designs voice actors and animation/art style. My final word Do not watch!

I loved this show when I was younger, but now after doing a little research it comes to light that the original script for the show was supposed to be about a counter earth where Uncle Ben doesn't die and Spidey gives in to Venom because he doesn't question the morality of his choices anymore. Why oh why couldn't they have done that instead of doing this whole bestial thing =/ which is alright per se but far less interesting and thought provoking as the original script. In summary then a good cartoon with great visuals and music but let down by the script revision because Marvel said that it couldn't do a series that contained 2 Spider-Mans but now we have games like Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions, plus I swear in the 90's Spider-Man cartoons they did an episode where there was a crossover of lots of different Spidey universes. Marvel you really missed the mark on something that could have been spectacular.

As with alot of people, I liked the first episode of this show, not great but not awful. Mentioned Uncle Ben,with importance to his origin , featured Nick Fury and J Jonah Jameson, even Mr Fantastic aka Reed Richards got a mention. Spider-man's famous red and blue costume even got a glimpse, and looked great, even including the netting ( a triangular piece of net like material ) which was present in Steve Ditko's design, though not used by some artists nowadays, but not the Fox cartoon. Then he gets to the planet, and we get to see the rubbish designs for animal humanoids, and it sucks from the first glimpse. The jokes spidey ( or whoever this imposter is, since he ain't no spidey) makes are lame. I don't blame the voice artist, just the script. Next come the design of the characters. Spidey's new costume is dumb, just a copy of the Spider-man 2099 comic book costume. Some of the characters are just plain boring, such as a guy in bandages, where an episode is dedicated to him and how he became that way. There are riffs on other characters, but they don't even try to hide it, like a Green Goblin character who is supposed to be an anti-hero. Over all, not good at all and deserved to be cancelled.

Spider-Man Unlimited is a good show on its own... good original storylines, decent animation, but it's not the Spider-Man I know from reading the comics. While there are some familiar faces, they don't always show their face, leaving our poor webhead to make friends with some new faces, who vaguely resemble some characters from the comics.I'm not going to bash this cartoon because it doesn't follow the roots of which it came from. It's a good show, but it would have been a better show if Spidey ditched the hi-tech crap and stuck with his basic web shooters and proportionate spider strength.
