Truly Dreadful Film

Best movie ever!

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

This is a definite "meh" for me, which is sad because I normally like to see work by both Paula Patton and Devon Sawa. This, however, is horrible. The little girl is an absolute brat and cringeworthy to watch, which destroys any illusion that a parent would miss her. Most of the perils the main characters are in, are because of the little girl's misbehaving and disobedience. It just stretches the audience's care of what is going on to a point of no return. Not happening, this one. Very easy to ignore and mentally check out, here.

The child actress clearly did her job well if we were convinced she was a misbehaved beast of a child. Paula Patton tho.... I always thought her acting was less than mediocre. This confirms what I suspected.... acting isn't her thing and whoever is entertaining her hopes and dreams needs to stop. Not even a good time waster to run in the background while cleaning the bathrooms

Was this written for Disney Channel? The topic of this show is supposed to be serious but you have a daughter, husband and wife who are rediculous. Why do tv shows insist on writing for kids as if they were idiots. And Paula Patton, not sure she ever deserved to work aside Denzel or Tom Cruise after a script like this. The worst part about the first episode is when it does decide to get serious, you've already spiraled down a lousy setup of a show. Did I say it already, but the daughter's acting is horrible?

Yeah maybe some scenes are overacted, but it's actually a good watch. I saw it on netflix, never hearding of it before, and i'm glad I gave it a chance. I was hooked after the first episode!
