It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

A young Clark Kent struggles to find his place in the world as he learns to harness his alien powers for good and deals with the typical troubles of teenage life in Smallville, Kansas. Smallville has been described as 'epic', 'magnificent' or even 'classic' but it's none of those things, to be honest the producers and the people behind Smallville butchered alot of great heroes and villains like Arrow, The Flash, Darkseid and even Doomsday and the series finale was so poorly made that they couldn't even show the suit (except the last few seconds). The acting was also meh and most of the stories boring as hell although Christopher Reeve's appearance in Season 2 and 3 and John Williams Theme in the Series Finale were dope but still not a good show and it doesn't do justice to Superman. (4/10)

Smallville is a very good happy and sometimes goofy show. They manage to keep things interesting for a lot of seasons and some of the characters have forever been imprinted on the superhero pantheon. This is how you make a superhero show, and today's DC shows should pay attention. Sure the storyline have problems in many episodes, the directing is not always on point and a few actors could do better, but this is good entertainment and wholesome fun. You could pick a part most episodes and find plot holes and problems with this or that, but it is about superman and his friends, so does it always need to make sense? Nope. Not really. The only negative that kind of bothers me is that the show is too soapy at times, too much American teeny-drama sort of a feel. In almost every episode there is one or two of those touchy-feely-tears-in-the-eye melodrama scene, even worse is that those scenes sometimes feel out of place or do not fit the narrative. The mention scenes sometimes make it too cringy, but it does not ruin the show as whole.Interesting to note is that if you go back and re-watch or watch it for the first time, and you place this next to The Flash or Supergirl, there is no competition, Smallville is so much better it is almost ridiculous. The DC shows of today, the first two seasons of Arrow excluded, are pure crap in comparison. As a show in general this is not great, but as a superhero show this is close to greatness. I enjoyed this show the first time around, and I can still go back and watch a few episodes now and again. I will give this show 7/10, the points subtracted are due to the cringyness mention above, due to some characters bad dialogue (bad script), a few too many filler episodes, and a few plot errors too many. I would rank this among the top 10 best superhero shows of all time, of course the magnificent Agents of Shield of today is number one, but this is not too far behind.

Smallville is the longest Superman origin story in film and television there is. And let me tell you: there's so much more to Clark Kent's becoming Superman than simply putting on the suit. And considering the series was originally supposed to be focused on Bruce Wayne becoming Batman, this shows that both Batman and Superman have equally compelling amounts of story and character development.Smallville has been off the air for years now but even since it finished in 2011 Superman fans still refer to it as one of the most faithful takes on the mythos of the classic character. While I do prefer Superman: The Animated Series, Smallville is still a fitting compliment to the Man of Steel. And I love it.Superman fans will love this one. Give it a shot if you haven't already.

In regards to the show "Smallville" it was a case of having a show off to a good start then as time passes the show slowly loses it's potentials by jumping the shark more than a few times where it just gone downhill all the way up to the final season, aleast to my prospective. If I recall the premise of the show suppose to involve a teenage Clark Kent discovering his powers and where he's is really from while in the process dealing with typical & not-so-typical issues/troubles through out his teen years as he slowly start his journey to become the future hero that he will be destined to be along with the trials that he has to endure on the way.On a personal note I watch the show from the start of season 1 all the way to the end of season 7 and there's good reasons why I stop watching before the last three seasons came along.I'll start with some good parts of the show... Clark discover/develops a new power in almost every season. Clark & Lex started off as friends before becoming future enemies. Clark slowly discovering/learning his Kryptonian heritage. Clarks learns to be a hero and uses his powers for good before taking on the mantle. Now here are some bad parts of the show (One's the made me stop watching)... The villain of the week routine, in a Superman origin show. Kryptonite effects people differently and gives them different powers depending on how the were exposed. Supporting characters frequently gets victimize by the villain of the week (While civilians also get killed by them). Too many Homages to films that were release around the time of the show's run (And a few films that came years before then) such as "The Fast and the Furious", "Hocus Pocus", "Face Off", "Twilight", "Saw", "The Bourne Identity" and even "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (In a Superman origin show). Meeting Justice League members before taking on the mantle (Bruce Wayne/Batman NOT being one of them). Meeting famous rogues gallery also before taking on the mantle. Clark already being Superman minus the costume. Jor-El (Aleast his A.I. anyways) being portray as somewhat antagonistic. Lois presented as a punching bag in a number of episodes. Clark & Lois engage before Clark toke on the mantle. Some plot moments from episodes are left unresolved. Almost every episode is center on action/suspense rather than the story (Probably just for the sake of gaining interest).I think this pretty much covers everything I feel towards "Smallville" and while I do acknowledge as well as appreciate what the show is trying to be and what it did to open the door for future DC based shows I believe that it should have stick to it's original premises through out it's run rather than going beyond that not to mention alter the Superman mythos from what was originally viewed or known for. Which was something that "Smallville" definitely blow it for me.While I don't recommended it to any hardcore Superman fans/DC Comics fans but they are still feel free to experience it themselves but just to see it as a somewhat of an else-world version of the Superman mythos rather than a unique interpretation of it.
