Why so much hype?

What a waste of my time!!!

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Love this programme, the actors and the scenery are brilliant!

Yes, the scenery is stunning, the cast are really good, but there are always plot holes or loose ends not tied up, or things that don't make sense. In this episode we get a lot of shots of Leanne leaving the ferry, and it's very clear she isn't carrying even a small overnight bag to stay on Shetland. Unless this is later exposed as part of the plot, it's just sloppy.

Wasn't sure I was going to like this, it was a little slow int the beginning but I was soon hooked. I watched all the episodes in about 5 days and am non-patiently waiting for season 4 to come out!! Right up there with The Killing for me, which is probably my fav crime show!

This a very well made drama, beautiful scenery and good story lines. What raises it above the ordinary is Henshall, who is very good indeed. He carries the programme, although the guest stars are of a good quality. This show will be too slow for some people and I have too say that the regular cast apart from Julie Graham are a little below the required quality needed to make this a classic, having said that the whole programme is worth watching for the excellent Henshall.
