... View MoreLet me start by saying that I have read a lot of the reviews here and elsewhere for this show and I want to know where this ridiculous idea that a TV show or a movie has to reflect reality perfectly and everything in it has to be perfectly accurate. That idea is bologna! This is TV it is supposed to be entertaining and intriguing not 100% real. With that said, there are a lot of things in this show that are not medically accurate, scientifically accurate, or even within the realm of reality. That is OK this is TV. This is entertainment. The premise of this show is that an altruistic self-made billionaire build his own hospital where he hires the best in both medicine and technology to help people other hospitals can't. It is a story of hope. Each episode present 2-3 challenges for the team to solve in order to save the life of a patient. The way the team brainstorms possible solutions and develops technology in partnership with the medicine is amazing. It is one of the freshest ideas in TV in a long time. There are few negatives. The most glaring being that the show is definitely pushing Hollywood's LGBT agenda as there are at least 4 separate episodes that bring it up. One of the characters daughter comes out as a lesbian, a sick lawyer is representing a transgender, a male bisexual prostitute fights aids, and a gay two father couple have one of them get sick. As these cover approximately 33% of the episodes to date and the Alternative lifestyle population in America is less than 3% this is very over represented in this show. The show should just stick to what it did best and that was entertain and leave the political commentary to the pundits. Overall, this is a highly entertaining and feel good show that for some reason many people are not watching. Unfortunately, CBS did not order any additional episodes and so while it is not yet officially cancelled it does not look good for this show.
... View MoreWish this was real life! The characters are very likable and they act like a family. Very futuristic hospital, looks comfortable and calming for the patient, why can't real hospitals be like this? James Bell is so clever and yet comes across with child like innocents. This show is brilliant and can't wait for second season.
... View MoreBest new show of all. Loved every episode and always looked forward to the next. Entire family watched this season and it only proceeded to get better with each and every new week. The characters performed in a way leaving you feeling the connections they have with each other as a medical family as well as their own personal life issues each and every one of them attempt to deal with along the way. The storyline and believable solutions as medical technologies progress in real life were very relatable to human medical issues we all face in the real world. Sad to see it come to a finale. So hoping it will renew again for many more upcoming seasons.
... View Moresad too see another great show go because of the cost of production. i can usually tell the single season shows after the first episode by seeing special effects (knight rider~2008,minority report, almost human) or just shows with things that stimulate imagination (Pure Genius). yes! they will replace this show with the same old format of an er doctor walking the halls and saving lives with no splash! throw in the same old scandal, affairs and the tragic life altering scene (an accident or shooting) will last maybe 2 episodes for me! but last 5 seasons... yes i understand the importance of saving money! but you are here for entertainment and noise. but 90% of TV has becomemostly expensive background noise !!
