While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

Interesting story ideas and fun to seen the new monster of the week. Entertaining even on a low budget. There are times, though, that the laziness of the writers comes out in frustrating and painful ways. I find myself staring at a scene and wondering "Why?? Why would you do that? That's so stupid!"If you can get past those moments (and there are many) then it's a fun show to watch. I'd love to see it revisited with a bigger budget and a little more intelligence written in.Oh, yeah....and the Wilhelm scream.... Every episode? Really? *shakes head*

This series was amazing until series 4. Series four was good. Series 5 was okay, it was enjoyable. I absolutely love it though! This is the series of my childhood. There was another series of primeval made in Canada. Pretty good. Not as good as this though. Definitely watch if your a fan of mind bending fast paced things. They have got rid of too many characters recently. That's why its not as good as it used to be. It's all about this man called Nick Cutter, he discovers these time traveling anomalies. He sets up a team to help him make sure all the things that come through are put back inside. He soon discovers that his presumed dead for eight years wife has actually been traveling through these for ages. Anyway, I love it!

I love a good idea with action, nice men and women who are faithful to their character. In the U.S. I've have mostly given up on TV and movies, the writers here seem to be on a mission to prove their bona fide regarding any and all of the 'conscious raising' topics from Abortion to Zebra rights.I'm in season 4 now, and so far there's no token minority, token gay, token black or even simulated sex scenes. The characters use typical English grammar with charming British slang like 'awright mate' or some such. There's some personal angle between the geek and the blonde which by U.S. standards would be too subtle. But this tension is left for the audience to wonder about, no scene of an epiphany of uncontrolled lust with groaning and grunting for five minutes. Thank you all.Anyway British ladies are so enjoyable to watch too.

First of all let me state for the record that I really like this show, the characters are cool, the CGI creatures are great, and there is the occasional one-liner good enough to be remembered. However I would be remiss if I didn't point out two things, and these are semi spoilers. The first is that if you're a new fan just joining the show if and hopefully when it starts its next season, you'll want to be prepared that the focus of the show isn't as much on the creatures as it used to be. In some episodes they pay as little attention to the massive plot point that is the creatures as they can possibly get away with. Make no mistake, what they fill that time in with is still better than what most shows have to offer these days, but it's still worth mentioning. The second point is that only three of the the show's original cast are still around (two others made a brief appearance last season but haven't been seen since). While it is an interesting point to constantly have shifting characters and it makes for some really good story arcs for the series, one or two of the characters just kind of disappeared without any explanation. In simpler terms, don't get to attached to any of the characters as you can't be sure who will disappear next. These two points are relatively minor issues in the grand scheme of things though. This is still a great show in the top caliber of shows on the air today. Whether or not they will still be able to keep good plots going too much longer remains to be seen, but for the time being it is well worth your time to view it and past seasons and I can't wait for the next season.
