Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Unbelievable translations of history, ruined by a cringeworthy voice of the narrator.

I'm only 1/2 way through the first episode and frankly, I'm not sure if I can go any further. The subject is interesting enough, the content honestly is very well written, but the narrator's voice just doesn't cut it in my opinion. It's not as bad as fingernails on chalk though, just a bit nasally maybe or not masculine enough.I've watch numerous narrated documentaries and perhaps I've been spoiled with the likes of Morgan Freeman but there needs to be reflection and style that keeps those watching intrigued. I'm not, and am almost thankful for when the characters dialogue kicks in.Being that Aaron Mahnke is the only narrator for all 6 episodes I just can't see myself foraging through the content to satisfy my interest with the audio muted.

At 13:00, the narrator claims the the phrase "saved by the bell" is attributed to a coffin gimmick of the time. It widely known as a reference to a losing boxer not being counted out because the end of the round came before the referee's decision. That is enough said, but I have to keep typing to meet the minimum character requirement.

I hadn't heard of the podcast and wasn't sure what to expect, so Lore was a pleasant surprise. I like the cutting back and forth between historical reports that run with a common theme and the tidbits that explain the origins of certain names and language, e.g. "saved by the bell." It can be a little uneven - I imagine the podcast is more concise - here, the dramatic recreation can belabor the stories (especially in the first couple of episodes). But keep watching! The production and acting in later episodes make for some really creepy, true horror viewing. (Kudos to the music directors.) Let's just say that as far as haunted houses and possessed dolls are concerned, Lore gives a lot of mainstream horror movies a run for their money.
