That was an excellent one.

... View MoreSince this show is coming to a close I thought I might as well put in my two cents. First, the characters. This show has a very odd tendency of giving only some of the characters depth. The only characters I can really find myself relating to are Blythe, Zoey, and Russel, but the rest are pretty bland most of the time. Vinnie is stupid, Sunil is scared of everything, Minka is crazy, Pepper is supposedly funny, the list goes on and on. The show is seems to try to pander to the teenage demographic with the Internet crazes, crushes, and middle school problems, but also seems to try to entertain small children, so what is this show's target audience? i will give this show credit, though. The plots are easy to follow yet can be very entertaining (not all of the episodes are like this, however) and many of the songs are really good. So overall, I'll give this show five stars for the music, plots, and some of the characters.
... View MoreThe new incarnation of Littlest Pet Shop is the creation of spouses Julie McNally Cahill and Tim Cahill, creators of Cartoon Network's "My Gym Partner's A Monkey" and former Warner Brothers executives. The show centers on a girl named Blythe Baxter who moves to Downtown City with her father, and gains the ability to speak to animals when she goes down a dumbwaiter into the pet shop. As the title implies, this is one of my favorite cartoons of the 2010s. It's in my top 3. The show isn't perfect, but its good outweighs the bad. Blythe is a well rounded protagonist in that she's ambitious in her dreams, but knows when to scale back. She's intelligent, kind to animals, and is a great person to be with. The pets all have their comedic moments, and have traits that make them something other than comic relief. Roger manages to be funny without crossing the line, and a good father. The Biskits are a bit annoying, but they're comedic too. Mrs. Twombly is just hilarious with her door knob obsession and strange antics, but she can be a good guardian of sorts to Blythe, and I think they have a special connection. While Sue and Jasper could be more developed, I think they're fine, and Youngmee is the best of Blythe's friends. She can cook, think, likes boy bands like Blythe, and is the only one of Blythe's friends that knows she can talk to animals. The show isn't as focused on morality, making for some meh episodes sometimes, but the show can still provide good laughs, great songs from Daniel Ingram, and plenty of genuine heart ad emotion to go along with good morals. My Grade: 9.5/10 (A)(I rounded up for my score up there.
... View MoreI don't know why everyone is comparing Littlest Pet Shop to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's like comparing apples to oranges. They have two different shows, different characters and stories, etc. Just because they look the same does not mean they are. It only appears that way because Hasbro makes both shows. Besides, Littlest Pet Shop is not as bad as people think it is. Many of the talents in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic do double-dip in this series and it's what made me watch it in the first place. The stories are good, the characters are well rounded, I don't see anything wrong with it. I think many fans who loved My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Pound Puppies should give this one a try.
... View MoreWhat can I say about this show? I love this show, and I have my reasons.I watched the first two episodes about over half a year ago, and it wasn't very good. Anybody who thinks that it was intentionally a few month slap together to try to attract bronies are wrong. The animation is inconsistent, although it at average is good, it can be plain stiff and unnatural at times, mostly the humans. The artwork isn't the best, but it's better than what I can come up with for this show.Think it's all girly and about fashion? Watch past the first two episodes. The quality has easily doubled, or more. And while there is some romance, it barely is what the show is about. The voice acting, is actually good. I dare say that it's more expressive than MLP.Overall, this is a good show with flaws, but most of the gaping ones have been patched up.
