Wow anyone thinks it's worth more! You obviously taking something or..... Seriously, the acting is absolutely awful, like straight from acting school! Better script and acting we got a decent tv series!

Krypton had so many chances for good story lines and interesting plots. And despite rushing the actors through moments containing genuine feeling, then dragging everyone slowly back and forth amongst horribly made rocks in the fake snow (like you are trying to follow this sentence), while we tried to care about Seg. The forbearer of our Superman Kal-El. First, I tried to like everyone else less, knowing that he was the star and the "good guy." Then I tried to like any qualities about him at all. Unfortunately, the writers made him too irritating, too dangerous and reckless with the lives of his friends, and so slow to catch on to things that I was concerned he might have brain damage from so much fighting.I'm aware that he has to be reckless to keep the action moving along, but Seg has almost schizophrenic bounces from smart to "too stupid to live." I am a mild, non-violent person, but several times I urged characters (aloud) to "Shoot him! Shoot him NOW!" while watching the show, to save us all from further torture.Seg's disregard for the dangers of defying various authorities (including continuing to steal a vehicle which led to his mother's death), and wishy-washy indecision about a career felt more like the problems of a human 13 year old male, so his obvious age and marriage/relationship dilemmas were confusing. (Plus he's a con man that smiles while he spends his friend's money without permission. I considered tv-shooting him myself.)The most disappointing thing was how Seg treated Doctor Strange, even after the evidence he provided, he was dismissed.Unfortunately, the writers can't be blamed for everything. The actor playing Seg is nearly always wooden and charisma free. I just don't feel any sincerity except when he says he's leaving. Some of the early episodes seemed to have inexperienced directors. Maybe not, but I believe that a few from my favorite shows could have made Krypton an alien world with interesting people and cultures and some real feelings. I was really hoping for some of that.I awarded Krypton 3 Stars. I started with 5, then deducted 2 for the times I really-really wanted to "off" the star character and leave him next to a papier-mache rock in the sad snow. I stopped watching the series after episode 7, I think.

I had high expectations for Krypton, but they have fallen short. None of the characters are particularly likable. Character development is limited to forceful pouting. Yes, Cameron Cuffe looks like he could be Tom Welling's grandfather, but still... I am finding it more and more difficult to not fall asleep while watching. Also, it appears to be shot in not quite HD. Cinematography and/or direction is somewhat amateurish. The writing is laconic and continually belabors the same issues. Sorry, but I'm more into quality shows like Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, Westworld, Battlestar Galactica, Deadwood and Rome. Seriously, Krypton has all the excitement of the last couple of seasons of the Walking Dead. And will someone please explain to me how Adam Strange is able to even stand up on Krypton, which is supposed to have a gravitational for many times that of earth? And did Superman just give him his cape? In the Mystery in Space Silver Age comic book story line, Adam Strange was only able to transport to Rann, a planet in the Alpha Centauri solar system (the nearest to ours) through Zeta beams (nothing to do with Catherine Zeta Jones) which had been randomly aimed at the earth. There he quickly became a hero, donning a red and white (spandex?_ uniform with a double jet pack that enabled him to fly and use his ray gun, having fallen in love with Alana, the daughter of the scientist who knew all about the Zeta beams. On Rann, he would fight off illegal aliens from other worlds, until the zeta radiation wore off and dissolved him back to earth. Having memorized the next strike point, he fought to get to each in time to help save Rann and to be with Alana, as apparently victory sex is the best.Alas, Seg-El can't even appreciate a hot blonde when h e sees one. For myself, I'm headed back to earth.

This show strays so far from the original comic book story that it is not even recognizable.1) The S on Superman's uniform was the idea of Ma Kent to symbolize Superman, it was not an ancient Kryptonian symbol. The house of El had a Sun as it's symbol. Drawings of Jor-El, Superman's father show a sun emblazoned on chest of his clothes.2) The Fortress of Solitude was Superman's creation on Earth as a place to get away from everything so he could unwind. That is why it was called the Fortress of SOLITUDE! It was not something that his grandfather built on Krypton.3) Kandor was taken by Brainiac just before Krypton exploded, it's removal did not cause Krypton to explode. In addition the writers have once again interjected their left wing politics into the story as they preach their radical revisionist propaganda.1) The Zod family has miraculously become black.2) A five foot nothing, 120 pound woman overpowers and nearly kills a 6 foot 4-1/2 inch 200+ pound man.3) We get the usual sermonizing about the evil military savaging the poor innocent population of the city.A terrible show that could have been great, except that todays writers are incapable of writing decent shows.
