There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

This series is what got me into nick again.. when I was little I would watch a lot of nick shows but as years went on.. all my favorite shows were canceled and made way for the trash heaps such as Fanboy & Chum Chum, Fred: The Show, Sanjay and Craig, etc. But the point is things just got worst as time went on then I stumbled upon something.. Invader Zim! This show is just plain awesome filled with amazing characters cool use of animation for the intro and I could just go on and on.. about how good this show is... the only problem is that there's was not enough episodes but even with very few episodes.. Invader Zim will always hold a special place in my heart.

Invader Zim: What is there to be said? It's amazing, funny, cool, awesome, amazing, amazing looking art style. The show centers around Zim: An Irken from the Planet Irk. His entire race hates him. He gets a REALLY dumb SIR Unit named GIR. So Zim gets sent to earth, believed to be dead by the Almighty Tallest (His leaders). But Zim gets to earth safely. He meets a human called Dib, who knows hes an alien. Chaos ensues, and Zim never claims earth. The most well known episode HAS to be Dark Harvest. Dark Harvest centers around Zim HARVESTING KIDS ORGANS. What the hell...? The art style combines 2D and 3D. And it looks amazing. People don't know but the cause for it's cancellation was because the COST. It costed 1,200,000 per EPISODE. Please Nick, let Jhonen Vasquez finish the last 16 episodes and the TV Movie, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

This is easily the DARKEST children's show I've ever seen in my life. But it's perfect! The voice acting is perfect, the animation is flawless, the plot lines are absurd and hilarious, and the characters are all well-developed and fun to watch.Zim is the perfect main character--Ambitious, self-centered and determined, yet blissfully unaware of what's going on around him. Not to mention he can, on occasion, be a complete and utter badass. Dib works off of Zim perfectly, and the situations they get into are just... How do you even describe it? One moment, Dib is trying to stop Zim from stealing the organs of kids, another they're working together to stop a giant hamster-monster. Don't even get me started on Gir. I think he's gone a little bit too mainstream, but can you really see why? He's even dumber than Zim, disobedient, and somehow gluttonous, but he's so quotable and hilarious you can't help but laugh every time he's on screen. Even the minor and side characters are unique. Gaz is easily the coolest female character I've ever seen on Nickelodeon (Though that's up against some serious competition). Tak is just awesome... She somehow got an entire backstory and motive crammed into one episode. The score is unique and dark. It gives you this "action scene" vibe. We need that vibe more often. The relationships of the characters are unique as well... Zim and Dib loathe each other, but when they work together, you get this sense of teamwork. Gaz and Dib are siblings, right? Well, Gaz couldn't care less about Dib, though he really cares about his younger sister. This was really one of Nickelodeon's shining moments. It's truly a shame it had to end. But if you're interested, there's a comic. Which is also great.

Invader Zim is one of those shows that everyone wants back, and everyone loved, but it will probably never come back. It had a pretty short run, only 27 episodes I believe. The show had an interesting mix of sci-fi and dark humour. This is probably the main reason it was cut was because the person who made this show also made a comic about a homicidal maniac who kills people to keep monsters away from him... yeah.Invader Zim is a very wacky cartoon, and a lot happens in it and a lot of randomness happens as well. That is what is funny about the show, just about anything can happen and will happen. Sometimes I can admit that the show can get pretty dark, such as people getting their eyes ripped out, lots of death, torture, and other forms of violence. The animation style is unique and stylish. There is a bit of CGI in the show, and it is actually used very well.Apparently the show was cut because of budget problems... right. That might be part of the reason, but the main reason was obviously because it was too dark. The show obviously did have a fairly big budget seeing as how awesome the animation was, and the voice actors are good.If Invader Zim ever does come back, it better come back with the same people who originally made it. A fairly large amount of episodes were made or almost finished but never aired. Since these episodes are missing, there are a few plot holes like who is mini-moose but other than that there aren't any problems. Hopefully those episodes will be released in time.
