Let's be realistic.

... View MoreSimple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
... View MoreA terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
... View MoreAfter having watched pretty much every single anime out there including Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood, Code geass, Naruto franchise, Death note, seven deadly sins, one punch man, Dragon ball franchise and there is still none that can compare to this legendary work of art. I believe it to be much better than attack of titan and to this day I have yet to find a single anime or show that can make me feel the way I did when watching Hunter x Hunter. If you love anime and haven't watched Hunter x Hunter you are no fan of anime. Believe me watching Hunter x Hunter will be the best decision of your life. An imdb rating of 9.1 doesn't do it justice.
... View MoreThis show is simply exceptional. My only complaint is that the story isn't finished. The writer really needs to continue to add to it because this is one of my all-time favorites. The animation is exceptional, the colors so potent and the characters all look very creative and fascinating. There are so many fun characters of all varieties, from comical to dark and intensely thought-provoking.The beginning of the series grabbed me right away as it gave off a vibe of cheeriness and fun that was very potent. Yet as it continues the story gets even more broad and takes so many turns that are very unexpected. There are so many fun and interesting side adventures, and even the small moments of the show stay with you. I found myself enjoying nearly every moment that the show went along out of pure glee and anticipation for what comes next. The cheery atmosphere of the beginning isn't to be mistaken for how the show always is, for there are definitely some intensely emotional and dark moments that are equally as intoxicating. All around this series was a huge joy to watch. It outdid itself as it went along and really shined throughout. Such a wonderful and imaginative show with a plethora of adventures and characters to really get immersed with.Taking a journey with Gon as he tries to become a hunter, find his father, and make friends and enemies along the way was well worth it and was time spent extremely well. I find myself thinking about this story time and time again and almost wishing I could watch it for the first time all over again to relive the experience.
... View MoreHunter x Hunter. Yoshihiro Togashi's masterpiece manga that never really got the adaptation it deserved because the material to be adapted, especially the Chimera Ant Arc, was too violent and graphic. Enter Madhouse. A Studio renowned for making innumerable anime classics. They brought in one of their most talented directors in Hiroshi Koujina to adapt this flawed gem and anime history was made.HxH is a story about a young boy named Gon who embarks on a journey to find his father. After learning that his father left him at a young age to become a Hunter, Gon decides to follow in his footsteps not only to find him, but also to see what was so special about the profession that made his father choose it over him. Now, believe me, the above synopsis doesn't even begin to do justice to the spectacular epic that is Hunter x Hunter. It's a story about friendship that shows that even flawed individuals could be redeemed and the purest of souls could be lost into the abyss. The Chimera Ant Arc, alone, is a sprawling masterpiece that just rises above any piece of storytelling in all of shounen, hell, in all of anime. It will make you care for every character, even the minor ones that don't really hold any significance to the overall plot & by the end of it, it will take them away by landing a sledgehammer of pathos and ripping out your soul while leaving you to drown in your sorrow as you reach the point of audible sobbing. But, remember, even through all the sorrows & tragedies, through all the tears shed, there will always be a ray of hope guiding you, leading you, through the lows of life as you search for your well- deserved happiness. Thank you, Hunter x Hunter, I can't see myself being the same person without you."You should enjoy the little detours. To the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want" - Ging Freecs

View MoreMODERATE SPOILERS HXH starts out, you know that typical shonen lighthearted show with our typical protagonist which has a typical and logical goal, to find his dad, from the first couple of episodes(2 filler/recap eps) some who only watched the first arc/hunter exam would give it a 7/8-10 but then it will come to the heavens arena arc where A lot was explained so you should listen well to Wing-San(sensei) and this arc will HYPE YOU UP for the next arc, which is the YORKNEW city or the phantom troupe arc which is one of the best arcs in anime of all time, It temporarily switches over to Kurapika's story when he was training and searching for the Kurta's eyes basically Gon and Kurapika are this arcs protags then we meet the Phantom troupe... BEST ANTAGONISTS, this arc, I was speechless, a lot of battles all forming the ending, which leads to a refreshing arc, the greed island arc(a.k.a the log horizon type,I don't want to put sao in this so yeah)this arc we got a lot of characters, nothing much to say but finally the show's best and longest arc, CHIMERA ANT ARC, I don't want to say anything that might change your perspective so I'll just say be ready for MAJOR goosebumps, and the last arc, this arc is just repairing the characters damages during the past arc but we'll meet the 12 zodiacs and ging, gon's father this arc will wrap things up and will make you miss the show.MUSIC:the op is good but they don't change it, they just change the lyrics a little and that's the new op,but the endings are beastlyAnimation-Madhouse, no words neededStory-20/10But don't expect a perfect show outta this
