Just perfect...
... View MoreHow sad is this?
... View MoreAs somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
... View MoreA clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
... View MoreAstonishing how good the first 10 minutes is, and how horrible the rest of the writing is. Melissa George gives 110% as a some sort of private superspy who is "the best" at what she does. After being betrayed and almost killed, she decides to go back and find out who it was that betrayed her. Great setup. But after that great setup, we get a crazy and illogical arc which randomly involves an innocent child, a past lover, an ongoing mission, betrayal everwhere, roaming killers, spies spying on spies (just like in Mad magazine) and a household which is SUPPOSED TO BE HIGH SECURITY but seems to have more cladestine comings and goings than a college dorm in the 1960s. Gawd-awful. I lasted three episodes. You may last longer depending on your pain threshold. This series was not cancelled. It was euthanized.
... View MoreSolid cast, solid writing. Some plot holes, some instances where suspension of disbelief cannot be maintained, but this series deserved continuation at any rate. The layers of the plot will keep you entertained, and Melissa George is very credible in her role, showing agility with choreography and dexterity with the different weapons she uses, in conjunction with nailing multiple dialogue types. I kept wanting Stephen Dillane to say, "That will be all, Mr. Muir." for some reason. *spoiler* He doesn't.
... View MoreAS usual the best series don't last ... too bad... This series is absolutely riveting , right up there with Strike Back.. Melissa G played her character perfectly . And sometimes I had trouble following what was going on Still not sure what happened in the end ... But it was awesome.
... View MoreThis is really hard to review.First of all: The actors do a great job. Second of all: The English finally figured out that it takes more than a budget of 5.000 pounds to get a decent show up and running. Third: editing is kind of weird, but you get used to it. BUT finally: The writers do a very bad job. Lots of holes in the plot, but let's just ignore that for now, the real problem is the very lame and not really believable dialog. To give you an example of the kind of thing I mean: There's a kid, about 12 years old. He comes up with these really lame and cheesy lines on the one hand, seems pretty grown up for his age, but on the other hand he paints pictures for/of people he likes (holding hands) and has bedtime stories read to him.I don't want to go into detail, I just think it's such a waste of budget and it's just incredibly bad writing. On the plus side:you get to the almost everyones boobs :)it's entertaining, even though it's sometimes lamethe main actress is really good looking for a British person :)good acting in generalDrawbacks:not believable, especially the way and the place it is set.annoying and cheesy dialog comes up every once in a whileyet another conspiracy-theory-thingThat's it. Worth watching if you're just killing time, not worth watching if you want to focus on the plot.
