... View MoreA terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
... View MoreOne of the best shows Nickelodeon has had for a while I highly recommend it, when I first watch the show I said to myself "wow this show is very similar to sponge bob" and I did some research (look on IMDb) and found out that he work on the early episodes of sponge bob, and it is amazing but the episode "spitting tree" made me really uncomfortable, but there are a few episodes I despised but besides all the episodes I disliked, there are to many good episodes and I'll take it over fairly odd parents any day I liked how Harvey is just overall a really nice kid with ocd (I think) this show is the modern version of all the cartoons that gave Nickelodeon their good reputation in the first place, but the show has a high chance of getting cancelled with makes me worried cause this show is so good thank you grennblatt
... View MoreThis cartoon is one of the best shows that ever affected me personally. I mean, shows like Avatar, The Legend of Korra, Fairly OddParents, The Amazing World of Gumball, and other shows are nice but they never really impressed me like this! This show follows kind-hearten 9/10- year old bird named Harvey Beaks who's used to his comfort zone, always follows the rules, and isn't so brave enough to try new things so much. But thanks to his new best friends Fee and Foo, he's able to see the world in a more wild way. I relate a lot to Harvey Beaks such as being very nice, very caring and forgiving, likes everyone, hates losing friends, wanting to help everyone, loves to clean, doesn't get into trouble, etc. Not just Harvey but also for many of the very good story lines kids deeply relate to that haven't often been used by the media. The soundtracks are very nice, the writing is very good although it's a little annoying sometimes, and more. Also, the characters may be stupid in some areas but the writers usually justify these actions. If you want to know about kids, I highly recommend this show.
... View MoreA mild-mannered young bird and his best friends, a pair of rambunctious siblings called Fee and Foo, seek adventure and mischief in the magical forest that they call home. Although it's not one of the best Nickelodeon shows for this time we live in like let's say Spongebob it's still way better than some of their worst that shows the meaning of friendship and team work threw out the whole season it also packs some pretty nice laughs and it's also not gross or stupid as other shows that we see this time we live in and i think that if you're open minded you won't be disappointed i'll give "Harvey Beaks" (2015) an 8/10.
... View MoreThis show, is awesome. I really love it. It's from C.H. Greenblatt, the guy who gave us Cartoon Network's Chowder (one of my favorite cartoons ever made) and also gave us beloved SpongeBob episodes like Band Geeks. Harvey Beaks is about a young bird named Harvey. He is one of the best written child characters I've ever seen, because he acts almost exactly like a kid, being naïve, well meaning, and sometimes, a little psycho. He goes on adventures with his best friends Fee and Foo. They get into life changing situations along the way, helping each other get out of their comfort zones. I'm just gonna say, the friendship of these characters is extremely inspiring and heartwarming. Fee and Foo are trouble makers, but they are incredibly loyal friends to Harvey. They will never leave him in trouble or abandon him, which makes them very likable characters. Another thing I love about this show is the backgrounds: THEY'RE AMAZING. I can literally feel the depth of the forest just watching them. The show also includes very funny background characters, such as Princess, Technobear, and especially Dade the Rabbit. His voice and obsession with Harvey is hilarious. And this is an important thing: THE SHOW ISN'T LACED WITH Toilet HUMOR. That's probably the biggest thing that turns me off from modern Nickelodeon shows. SpongeBob, Sanjay and Craig, and Breadwinners all have toilet humor shoehorned into a lot of their episodes. I can't really say much more, because the show has just started, but it is worth a watch. NICKELODOEN, DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU CAN CREATE WHEN YOU PUT IN EFFORT? YOU'VE GOT A GEM, AND YOU BETTER NOT RUIN IT. This show just may be enough to win back most of your viewership. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with Nickelodeon lately. While Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners are still some of their worst shows to date with almost entirely negative reception, SpongeBob is getting back on track with Season 9 (especially because Hillenburg is returning) and now they have Harvey Beaks. C.H. Greenblatt, looks like you've still got your touch.
