    Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

If you like D&D and laughing, then this is the show for you. The main cast has wonderful chemistry with each other. The show brings on a new special guest each episode and the guest is always funny. My friends and I love to get together and watch HarmomQuest. This show brings a quick and fun experience to D&D for old and new players. I do not want to write too much; I want you to check out this show!

I like a lot of the jobs and the thematic of this series. I do understand that the guys making the show need to make jokes and comments on everything, real games are usually a little more chill, but whatevs, this is TV. Then again, I do think that if the guys making the show took the game a little more serious they could actually have more fun doing it than just doing it to make a show. I mean, in real games things are usually not so joking at every second, but when crazy stuff comes down it's usually way crazier than in the show. I've had Nazi elves, guys who want to steal things bigger than planet under their cloaks, etc. And let's not even start with epic level shenanigans. This is NOT how you play D&D tho, there are more rules that keep you from doing half the nonsense like making things appear that they do in this show, and even without the rules, games usually have a hint of seriousness, because let's be honest, the guys in this show don't take the game seriously for one second, they should stop trying to be funny at every second, or at least stop unless they have an actual joke to make instead complete mumbling and nonsense. Randomness is funny just so far.Overall the show is pretty good and it introduces people to something close to D&D games.

As with everything the eponymous creator does, this show is highly worth the watch. If you are familiar with the podcast Harmontown, you will finally be able to put faces to the voices behind the best segment of that podcast: the role-playing game.Jeff Davis was already hilarious , but the addition of his facial expressions really does justice to his humor; Erin McGathy is a treat even if she and Dan are no longer married; and for anyone who has watched Rick and Morty or Community, Mr. Harmon surely needs no introduction. The animation is engaging, the voice acting is stellar, and the story by Mr. Crittenden is thrilling, fast-paced and diverse enough to grip the viewer even while allowing for significant bits of improv from the cast and the excellent guest players. The only reason I give a 9 instead of 10 is to reserve my 10s for the highest echelon that contains such shows as Game of Thrones, the aforementioned Rick and Morty, and Breaking Bad. In other words, this show is great, just not legendary.Do yourself a favor, and watch it.

If you like Rick and Morty I really think you will love this show. It is so funny and the witty improve jokes are so funny. Take a look at The Doorest of forest it is so funny. Highly recommend, it is a new take on dungeons and dragons allowing you to truly experience what we imagined while playing as kids. I really think this is a great show and the fact that it was renewed for season 2 should tell you enough. This review requires 10 lines of text apparently telling you that it is funny and worth at the least checking out one episode. Each episode has a different guest character and I really think it adds to the fun and the improve of the actors.
