It is a performances centric movie

Absolutely brilliant

The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Sarah Lancashire is truly the most incredible actress and this role is a tour de force. Just brilliant television all round. As a Brit I actually feel really proud that we can make television of this quality. The setting and characters are so authentic and realistic. Highly recommended.

Incredibly heartfelt. A true binge-worthy series. Each characters narrative is so multifaceted.. you hate the antagonist yet you feel for him.. you love the heroine yet she makes you truely angry. The creator of this series understands the human spirit in all its complexities and that good/evil can and never will exist in a vacuum.

Happy Valley is an on the edge of your seat at times police drama that is second to none in excellence. It is well written, directed and produced. I hope there are more episodes produced because I'm now a true fan of the series. Each actor is perfectly cast for the parts they play. It is an intelligent show that gives the audience credit for being smart as well. Kudos to all involved in the making of this brilliant show! It shows real life as it truly is which keeps you interested in each stunning episode. There is no prejudice with the characters. From poor to well to do, each character is played brilliantly. The title itself is interesting because it shows what a small town can be like, truly. Cheers, C.

The best series I have ever watched, yes some parts are quite intense and a bit brutal but the contrast between Tommy Lee Royce and the cops only leads you to wanting to watch more, brilliant acting set in such a realistic way that it could happen anywhere. I think they will have to let Tommy out of prison in season 3 to keep up the drama ! wish I did not have to wait so long ! the contrast between the good cops and bold characters was done brilliantly, The main cop, being a female and tackling to bring down Tommy is very clever and the impact of the son we almost see a different side to Tommy that was not shown in the first few episodes! all of the characters are so naturally played, Even though Tommy is in prison we still know there is trouble down the line as the son is writing him letters which keeps the story going! i cannot wait until the third series !
