I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.

This Emmy nominated series is a breath of fresh air for the DC Universe. The acting is first rate and the writing is terrific. The quality of the show increases each season. Gotham is its own show and is not part of a shared universe like the Arrowverse. Gotham fully honors the Batman Mythos and incorporated numerous comic book accurate characters (such as; Solomon Grundy, The Penguin, The Riddler, Catwoman, Tigress, etc.) in the show.It provides an insight on how Bruce Wayne became the man we all know today. In season 1 we saw him trying to mourn his parents deaths. In addition, he learned more about Wayne Enterprises and his father's past. As a season 1 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of the Bat cave. In season 2 Bruce Wayne tried to find the person who killed his parents. We eventually found out in season 3 that Hugo Strange specifically the Court of Owls ordered a lowlife to kill Thomas and Martha Wayne. As a season 2 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of Bruce Wayne's doppelgänger. He was created by Hugo Strange in Indian Hill. In season 3 Bruce Wayne found his doppelgänger and this stirred up some problems. Later in the season it was revealed that his doppelgänger worked for the Court of Owls (A clandestine organization who had Thomas and Martha Wayne killed). In this season Bruce uncovered secrets about the Court of Owls. He found out that the Court controls the entirety of Gotham and Wayne Enterprises. At the end of the season it was revealed that Ras al Ghul is the actual leader of the Court of Owls. As a season 3 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of Bruce Wayne as a vigilante. In season 4 Bruce Wayne faced Ras al Ghul and killed him. That act lead him down a dark path. He quit being a vigilante and started to be a douche bag to everyone including Alfred. Playboy Bruce Wayne was born in season 4. Bruce Wayne plays a pivotal role in the show, but does not receive as much screen time as Jim Gordon. The show focuses more on Jim Gordon's story and how he became the person from the comics. To conclude, Gotham is a violent, dark and gritty show with an amazing cast. I recommend it to everyone who is interested in Jim Gordon's past and who fell in love with the Batman comics as a kid/young adult/adult. Hopefully the fifth and final :( season does not disappoint.

It would have been better if some of the film's characters did not revive after death. All parts of the series are well made. Sorry for my bad English.

The show is better than I expected, not as bad as people say. Personally, the only thing sucks about gotham is freaking ASIAN HUGO STRANGE!!! We know the actor is born in American but HUGO STRANGE is like german-american. It just kinda a little bit piss us of seeing chinese looking Hugo Strange. That's all.

I've never read a batman comic book, I'm just a fan of the recent batman movies and of good TV shows. I thought this show would be good because I usually like the police procedural shows and I thought combining it with the batman universe would be really interesting, even if there was no actual batman. The concept remains great, but the execution on this show was horrible. I tried to keep watching this show because of how much I loved the batman movies but I gave up halfway through season 1. The actors are consistently overacting in every single single scene and the writing is horrible. There are multiple times in every single episode I've watched where the lines are so corny and bad that it's cringe worthy. I want to give the actors a break because of the bad writing, but I can't, they're all terrible. The scenes between Jim Gordon and Barbara are so overly dramatic it's barely watchable. The lines and acting with Fish Mooney and the Penguin are especially atrocious. There is no depth to any character in this show. Nothing about this show is even slightly realistic or believable. Literally everything is extremely watered down to the point where I feel like I'm watching a children's show. The crime bosses are not even close to being intimidating or scary in any way. I can't believe how little effort was put in to this show. It's horrible. Don't let the good ratings fool you, fox must be making it's employees write them. If you're a fan of good TV shows stay away from this one.
