Eureeka's Castle is one of the many shows I remember from my childhood The show feature interesting and funny characters with Eureeka a friendly sorceress, Magellan a Green Dragon and Batly who had a catch praise each time he crash into a wall he would say "I meant to to do that".I remember that made me laugh. The show feature some very good puppet work for a children show. The show mix learning and comedy which not something we see all the time in a show like this. The characters were memorable for their own right like Batly with his "I meant to do that".I recommend letting your children watch Eureeka's Castle it would be fun for them.

"Eureeka's Castle" was one of many kids' shows that I watched on TVO during my childhood. I would have only been three years old when it started out, so I probably didn't see it when it was first on, but definitely did see it in the early '90s, and can last remember watching it early in 1996, which was after its demise the year before. I enjoyed many shows around that time, but as I recall, this one made me laugh more than most of the others! The series was set in a giant's music box castle, and focused on the adventures of the puppet characters who lived inside. Eureeka was a sorceress in training, whose magic tricks with the wand didn't always work out. Other characters in the show including Magellan (a dragon with a trouble-making tale and a pet named Cooey), Batly (an arrogant, clumsy bat who would often say "I meant to do that," and had a pet spider named Webster), Bog and Quagmire, (the "Moat Twins," who were regularly seen in the moat, loved peanut butter, and often had trouble getting along), Mr. Knack (a man who sold things in a stand), among others. With all these characters, a lot happened in this wind-up music box. Most of those kids' shows I remember, if not all of them, were educational, and had a lot to entertain their viewers with. "Eureeka's Castle" was no exception. It could teach lessons about life to its young viewers, and could entertain them with its puppet characters, adventure, humour, etc. Most of the characters were memorable and funny (including Batly with his clumsiness, and the Moat Twins with their silly scheming ways). If there's any way episodes of this show can be found right now, kids today should enjoy it as well!

When I was a little girl, me and my cousins would crowd around the television and watch it. It was such a great kid's show. And there were a bunch of inside jokes, too. There was this bat with glasses that would always run into walls and say "I meant to do that." Haha, it was really cute.

I remember watching this show everyday when I was little. It was one of the best shows out there. It taught you lessons about life in a fun, imaginative way. It had something that most children's show's don't have today, creativity. The idea of using dragons and castles to teach kids is a great way because it grabs their attention and keeps them hooked. I miss this show dearly.
