It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This show mainly relies two selling factors. One is the concept of the show and the second is all the outrageous drama in the show.So the concept of the show is interesting, you have these cartoon characters parodying different cartoon media forced to live together. It's okay. So how about the characters. Now the biggest problem I have with the show are each of these characters. They are parody characters and are essentially designed to tell one joke over and over again. So they are pretty much one dimensional characters. Clara is probably the worst example. She's racist she has no motivation for her actions other than she's racist and that's one joke she tells over and over again. Even more I don't understand the joke about these characters or what they are supposed to be. Woldor is some SpongeBob parody. Xander is an effeminate Link from the Legend of Zelda. I guess it supposed to be a reference to how a lot of people think Link looks like a girl and of course the main joke they tell is Xander is gay jokes. Now what they are parodying is not a huge problem. The bigger problem is that these 1-dimensional characters designed to tell one joke can't run a show for 22 minutes straight. In reality television you have all these complex personalities butting heads with one another, but Drawn Together pits eight cardboard cutouts and see how far they can go with it. After a while the jokes get old and the characters don't have complex motivations for their actions. So the second selling factor is how crazy and over the top the stories are. This is actually what the show is best at creating these wacky situations to put the characters in. It is absolutely insane and it works... at least partially. This over the top drama comes at expense to the characters. Which character do you want to come out on top? No one. I don't want to be invested into any of them they as are all as horrible as possible and are way too simple characters to care about. The over the top drama and shock humor get to the point where it's overplayed, everything is in your face and taken to the point where is does get old really fast. Sure they create interesting situations but after awhile nothing really shocks you. This type of show can only be taken in small doses because it gets old really fast.

The first season was funny...after that, this show lost something. Once ZAnder admitted to himself that he is gay the jokes got old. I miss the good ole days, when CAptain hero would butt-ravish ZAnder, then pretend to be a different personality, and gay bash him moments later. Foxy Love was one of my favorite characters, but now they have her doing and saying really cheesy things. IT's also becoming more offensive than funny that they have her giving a child to social services every other episode. What the hell is that yellow thing with the wings? NO, not LingLing, he's a Pokemon rip-off, everybody knows that. The other yellow thing is corny. Speaking of corny, Spanky Ham is not funny at all, but i adore the fat asss Betty Boop and the prejudice Disney-like princess. This is my favorite cartoon, topped only by The Boondocks, which is the best black show ever created.

The amount of positive reviews I've read for this show on IMDb so far is absolutely incredible considering how bad Drawn Together is. Family Guy and South Park it is not... Instead the creators think that anything that's extremely random, completely disgusting, or stupid as all hell is comedy. This show sucks, and I'm extremely surprised it's still on TV. I'd speak further for my cause but I don't think I should have to if anyone who doesn't find the most retarded humor to be enjoyable has watched the show.Goes to show you how many morons there are watching this garbage.

Drawn Together is one of the funniest (if not THE funniest) parodies I have ever seen. The script is incredibly funny and witty and the characters are the funniest take-offs ever. T here is Ling-Ling, the pikachu like creature who is always ignored and taken advantage of. Princess Clara is what you get when you blend all of Disney's princesses together. Captain Hero is a take off of a few superheroes, but he is extremely weird and quite lame. Foxxy Love is the "black chick" of the house, the only smart one. Toot (a 20's sex symbol) is a Betty Boop rip-off who is way past her time and overweight. Wooldor is a demented Spongebob/Ren & Stimpy type critter. Spanky Ham is a crude, internet flash. Xandir is a homosexual Link-esquire type character. This show parodies almost everything from games, food, movies, music and TV shows. But there is plenty of sex jokes, nudity, racism, violence, gore, sadism, etc. For the easily offended, stay far away from this show. But for those looking for a crude laugh, I strongly recommend the best cartoon out now.5/5.
