Highly Overrated But Still Good

... View MoreThis movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
... View MoreGreat story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
... View MoreThis is a great TV series that captured my attention since the beginning. It's really funny, it shows you how crazy love can make you and how people tend to ruin the good stuff from their life because of an obsession. This is actually the only part musical series that I can stand to watch, mostly because the singing part is funny, the honesty and language used are great and it doesn't even bother me that they sing from time to time, it just gives it a more original vibe and it shows you what could be happening into a woman's mind. Just give it a chance and I promise you will slowly fall in love with this series. <3
... View MoreI have never been as mixed up about a title as I was with this one. On the plus side of the ledger, Rachel Bloom has true star quality. You cannot take your eyes off of her, and she has great hooters. The other cast members are also extremely talented. But the premise is, even giving it slack for its inventiveness, "crazy". Nothing about Josh made it seem like he would be the object of such non-stop stalking, other than the fact that he was her teenage summer romance at camp. But the thing I found most objectionable was that in every single situation, the so-called comedy went so far over the edge to pain that it was: not funny.Listen to what I am saying. I feel like they took a plot and songs that could have been edgy and *cute*, and made it painful to watch.I am pretty sure I would not be the only one who feels this way, so I am just forewarning anyone else.Because of this, although we finished watching all of Season 1, we are not going to continue. Life is too short, and it is really too bad, because I wanted to like this.
... View MoreSome of this show is pretty hard to watch especially when someone as beautiful and talented like Ms. Bloom lowers herself to win the favor of 2 jokers who remind me of people I smoked pot with back when I lived in West Covina. The cast is very talented, although I wish she would give glimpses of the real West Covina that I know. I like that she is focusing on the underrepresented Filipino community and I hope she hires more Fil/Ams, still this isn't the West Covina I know, the drug use, the crazy ex boyfriends, gangs, street races, back yard parties, bbq's etc., West Covina isn't too far from Pomona,(I'm not knocking The P-Town) so I'd like her to include some of the violence I witnessed growing up there. I also think she should focus more on slap stick humor instead of all this self deprecation. She doesn't look broken, she's cooky, funny, but thats not enough to help define the narrative what her show is about. I know real crazy ex girlfriends, and she is on the borderline of "not that interested in you but I will try anyway." I guess I went in expecting the genius comedy of Laverne and Shirley, but I digress, the show could stand some improvement. If you like musicals, with talented performers this show is a must watch, but if you grew up in the West Co during the 90's give the show a grain of salt. Peace!
... View MoreI stumbled upon this show by chance on Netflix. If you read any of the bios on these cast you will find they are all HUGELY talented. Television, Broadway/off Broadway, dancing, one-woman shows they do it all. This is a funny, clever show written by the main character; writer/comedian, Golden Globe winner Rachel Bloom. She has great things to say about writers which endears me to her even more. She is surrounded by a fantastic cast who can act and sing. Each show is about 30 minutes and is addicting. The theme song alone is hilarious. It was renewed for a 2nd season which has already begun. This show will warm your heart. You can't help but sing along.
