A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

I just finished watching all of the far, far, far too few episodes of Battle Creek. I don't bother to write many reviews on things, but in this case I decided that I should alert people to how good this series actually was. Don't be put off by the fact that it only was around for one season: Battle Creek is excellent. In fact, it is just about as good as I have ever seen TV get. Great premise, great writing, great characters, great acting. Did I mention it was hilarious too? What an terrible shame this show didn't get more than the all-too brief run it did. Unfortunately, I didn't see it on TV: Instead I watched the series on Netflix. I say that is unfortunate because I would have made a point of watching this, even on regular TV with commercials. One of those shows that I would have happily supported. Longmire and The Killing had some extra episodes done by Netflix after they got cancelled on regular network TV. I hope that the same happens to Battle Creek. I highly, highly recommend watching Battle Creek.

My husband and I absolutely loved the show. After watching #13 and researching to find when the next would be aired, we were very disappointed to learn it was canceled. I sincerely hope the director/producer considers bringing it back.We would gladly pay for a DVD for the current shows because we absolutely loved the humor and the cast. It was very well done and directed. I hope you sincerely think about filming again, this is a brilliant show, mixed with the right amount of humor, great story lines; with each scene being orchestrated wonderfully. Acting from all characters was flawless and well done.Vince Gilligan: Your staff and you did wonderfully and I sincerely hope you reconsider filming. I doubt many people have seen this show but I am quite sure once people learn of it, they will ask the same question – why cancel? BRING IT BACK!

This show makes me laugh. It fills a role in that it is unique enough & attracts an audience that hates those shows with the fake laugh track that aren't even funny. My husband and I look forward to it every week. They are doing a good job of developing the characters. I think it is on too late; not for me but it is light hearted and should come on earlier. I really hope CBS keeps it going & gives it a chance. We hardly watch any TV shows. We watch mostly sports on TV as most shows are not entertaining like this one. The stories are quite creative and downright corny. I mean corny in a good way. TV needs this show to continue. Battle Creek needs more advertising to attract the right viewers.

Battle Creek is a hard show to place. Is it a comedy, is it a drama or is it a procedural cop show? It's a little bit of everything. And it definitely has some flair to it. It's also still refreshing to see a cop show that doesn't take place in a major city, but in a smaller town. The premise of the show is easily it's strongest point. The underfunded police of Battle Creek gets support from the tech-smart FBI. Add two completely different characters in the mix and it seems you might have a nice buddy-cop-drama. Nothing of that all the characters of Josh Duhamel (FBI-agent Milt Chamberlain) and Dean Winters (detective Russ Agnew) are constantly trying to out do each other. Especially Agnew who sees the arrival of Chamberlain as a treat to his environment tries to outsmart the FBI. The acting from both Winters and Duhamel are right on the spot. You also don't really feel like choosing sides since both Agnew and Chamberlain are likable guys. The other cast members are more often then not fillers and the comedic relief. Only Aubrey Dollar stands out as Holly Dale, the only who's able to keep Agnew on the straight path. It helps that she serves as the potential love interest of Agnew. The stories are once again, like the show fresh. It's easy to write stories about mobsters or rival gangs. But did we ever see a crime- story about a maple syrup-gang. Or that the house of the captain goes up in flames in the first few episodes. Not much shows try to pull that off. Does it have some minus-points? Well perhaps not all of the supporting characters are that great. I already mentioned Aubrey Dollar, she's great. And both Kal Penn and Grapevine are a good add to the mix. But the characters of Liza Lapira and Damon Herriman still feel a bit flat. Maybe they get worked out better in the future. But for now I feel like they are holding the show a bit back to step it up just a notch. I gave the show a chance. I think anyone who's look for a fresh new cop-show mixed with a bit a drama and comedy should watch this. So to end with the question I start what genre is it? It's created a new own genre: a battle creek.
