Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
... View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
... View MoreThis movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
... View MoreThe storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
... View MoreI really enjoy this show, despite the disaster of a pilot. I started watching because of Adriana Lima. In the pilot, the contestants were not clear, they only showed one-second clips of the final looks, and product placement was absolutely rampant. The show has gained its footing over the past few episodes. Adriana has warmed up as a host and the personalities of the contestants are evident. I enjoy it. Plus, the names! Emily Soto for God's sake.
... View MoreI have to completely disagree with the previous reviewer. This is a low budget copy of Project Runway. After three episodes, it is very milk toast. They only do quick shots of the finished hair and make-up. If they are truly going to copy Project Runway, they should have the models actually out on the runway in person during the critiques and deliberations, instead of showing the models' pictures for two seconds. Adriana Lima is a weak Heidi Klum wannabe. I find it really annoying when she calls the contestants "my beauties". She is so bland. The runway also looks low-budget. They definitely need a new set designer.
... View MoreI'd give this 5 stars, based solely on the first episode, if ratings were enabled yet.The look and format of the show is straight from Project Runway. If they aren't using the same catwalk, it's at least based on the one from Project Runway. The lead judge, Adriana Lima, even manages to sound eerily like Heidi Klum, despite that they come from different continents. It's strange that the contestants (who have a hair and/or makeup background) are expected to also delve into selecting the attire of their models, and directing them for a photo shoot. I'm not well versed in the technicalities of the modeling world, but I thought directors of some sort would usually oversee that, as well as telling the beauticians what to do.Perhaps the idea is to find a beautician who is also a naturally talented but untrained director, but there doesn't seem to be any educational component to the show. Hence the photo shoot consisted of a lot of frustrated shouting from the contestants, and confusion from their models.Aside from the lack of a clear direction or concept for the show, it was fairly enjoyable to watch. The chaos and frustration were a bit humorous to watch.
