Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

As a female with Leukemia i thought I'd enjoy binging during a chemo session. Sadly, this wasn't true. It is so stupid!!!! Instead of focusing on what cancer/chemo does to you... they focus on immature school rivals, stupid prank wars, and the fact she does't want anyone to know! Lame jokes, a lame laugh track, and lame problems. They really could've gone deep and explored what caner actually does to you as a person...or as a teenage girl! Then explored what its like to be a mother, father, sibling, friend, or schoolmate to someone who is battling this TERRIBLE disease! Watching two girls walk around in a bald cap is almost offensive, but it's definitely maddening!! Here again, they could've gone deep with the terror, sadness, and raw emotion that goes along with losing ones hair. I'm not saying it had to be such as sad show that it depressed anyone who watched!! But it was so far from being "real" it made me sicker than the chemo i was taking! Netflix had such a platform, but alas, they ruined their chance! Hopefully there won't be a second season. If there is...buck up Netflix and try to make this show less immature and stupid!

My teenage daughter had cancer, and she is almost one year post treatment. This show is funny, and has some great things about it, but it doesn't accurately show what it's like for a kid to have cancer. For instance, a cancer patient has a port, they don't get iv's Every time they receive chemo. They have to wear a mask when they go out into crowded places because their immune system is so low. They are very weak from the chemo. Too weak to run around, jump up and down, attend school with as much energy as Alexa, etc. they don't need to be told to take naps. They beg to take naps. My daughter carried a blanket around with her at all times and laid down every chance she could. Cancer patients require blood transfusions, hospital stays because of infections, constant doctors visits, and lots of sleep. This show makes it look easy. My daughter tried to watch it and she couldn't even finish the season because it bothered her so much. All of her "friends" left her. She couldn't go to school. And she has no energy at all. Her experience was the total opposite of this. I just wish tv shows and movies would actually get it right.

News flash people..this is not a reality show!! Maybe it's not entirely accurate but that would be depressing and somewhat scary not a cute sitcom for young people which it is!

My children have been watching this show, but I find it cringe worthy. I have several friends and family members who have been through the horrible experience of childhood cancer. This show's concept is well intended but it's unrealistic to the point of being insulting to those who have gone through this experience. I mean, did they even consult anyone who knows about dealing with cancer?? On top of that, everyone's acting sucks. It's like they tried to make a Disney channel show, and oh, by the way, the girl has cancer. A show with this concept needs to first be a drama, then a comedy. Not the other way around. Because that's what the harsh reality is when you go through the experience.
