The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

I am a huge assassination and history buff and have been since I was a kid, well only a history buff at that time. When I saw the book freshly on display one day passing through a mall I thought, great premise. This premise which historians, scholars and the general public have debated for decades has finally been put forth in story form by one of the most popular authors of the last quarter of the 20th century. Then it is announced as a mini-series. Awesome. On the bucket list. I bought the series sight unseen asap. Great cast, suspenseful story line "and" also the antiquated toe-the-line theory that Oswald did it alone and we gotta stop "him", not a possible "they" as most people believe but that thin as a angel's hair "theory" that a lone nut did the impossible. Is this what Mr. King believes or did he opt for that poor beaten to death horse concept out of some pressure to do so? Me don't know...? I don't read "fiction" and know little of Mr. King other than the novels that have been turned into flicks. Yes. I believe he should have addressed it and it does appear in the series in tiny spurts but is quickly forgotten and jumps quickly back onto the Warren Commission "single-bullet-theory" tram. As a non believer in that fiction, it was the only thing that kept popping into my head as I watched the series which irked me. The series is a must see for just the simple detective/suspense story that it is. I suppose the Oswald theory will forever be stuck in the fabric of the assassination despite any evidence to the contrary. Sometimes the bad guys do win.

I loved this book and was looking forward to the mini-series, hoping they wouldn't fail like they did with Under the Dome. Once again they took a great book and completely changed the story for no reason. It is a good show, worth watching but be prepared to be disappointed if you loved the book.

I didn't have any expectations, (high or low) when renting this from the library, but I could not believe how good it was!One of the better movies/miniseries/t.v. Shows I've seen in a while actually. It really keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time, and it's extremely memorable, and sad, but in a positive way if that makes sense. It's a reminder that you can't change the past, no matter how much you want to, and it's done so well all the way through.

UGH! In my opinion the book is worthy of a 9. I realize that screen adaptations are difficult but this series is so sappy I feel like I am going to become ill. My top 10 King stories that transitioned to the screen well are:1. The Dead Zone (the movie) 8.25* 2. The Shining 7* 3. Dolores Clayborne 8.5* 4. Misery 8.5* 5. Salem's Lot 7* 6. Carrie 8.125* 7. Christine 8* 8. The body (Stand by Me) 8.75* 9. The Shawshank redemption (minus Rita Hayworth) 9* 10. The green mile 8*
