Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

When this first came out I wasn't sure it would be any good. Honestly, from the trailer, I figured it could go either way. My mind screamed it's a trap, you're going to get sucked into watching this and it's going to be garbage. When you've been burned a bunch of times on films like this that mechanism in your brain has a tendency of kicking in. A time preservation tool if you will. Despite that internal warning I went ahead and watched it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised and I ended up buying it. It has become a cheesy-fun favorite. This film manages to get just about everything right in the enjoyable fun sense. While it's far from perfect and has some truly stupid moments it's a blast. The FXs range from really creepy and well done to cheesy as hell. That kind of rolls with the film itself though. The premise is so uniquely absurd it almost seems fitting that it's a bit unbalanced. You've got all the right tropes for characters, plenty of gore, a little bit of random nudity, and a ton of immature crude laughs. Some of which have dulled on me a bit from repeated viewings, but that's to be expected. This is a horror fan's horror-comedy. Certain films I feel are geared towards a specific audience and this is one of those films. While non-horror fans might enjoy, I don't think many of them would get what the film's going for. At least that's the way I perceive this film. If you're a horror fan, this is one to check out. Don't expect it to be serious, and while maybe not quite as good as films like Cooties, The Final Girls & Tucker N Dale VS Evil, this will probably be right up your alley. My Rating: 7/10

This is possibly one of the best movies ever filmed on earth. The magnitude of greatness this films radiates is beyond any charts. I am surprised how it was not nominated for Oscars or any similar award. This movie has a fantastic story line that evolves very quickly and keeps a viewer radiated towards the screen. The character development is purely excellent and the aspect of suspense is just right.I recommend this movie to everyone who appreciates a great film and has a good taste in cinematography. Zombeavers will definitively become one of the cult classics of our time. Simply said, its one of the best movies filmed up to-date.

Zombeavers (2014) Movie Review: tingtong123abc I know what you are thinking, that this is just another Sharknado all over again, well not quite. Yes Zombeavers is not going to win an Oscar anytime soon but there some solid performances and visuals. The acting over all is surprisingly good, considering that this was most of the actors first feature film. Mainly puppets were used for the beavers with minimal CGI. I found the makeup to be very believable for a small budget film. Even the Human/Zombeavers costumes were great. The plot was very basic, just a typical low budget horror film, cabin in the woods situation. I was very impressed by the Zombeavers being able to locate and cut the phone lines on both cabins.

In the intro two goofs are transporting some tanks of toxic material. They run over a dear. In the process one of the tanks falls off the truck and into a lake near a beaver dam.Three girls spend a weekend out in the country near said lake. One of them is the sweet likable girl, the other one just broke up with her guy (there's always one of those in the movies,) the other one is annoying and doesn't care about anything. It's supposed to be a girl-only getaway but it doesn't take long for the guys to arrive. When they go swimming in the lake a beaver bites off one of the guy's feet. They barely make it back to shore. Inside the house is another wild beaver. They learn that it won't die, it's a zombie beaver.Soon unfortunately it gets dark and zombeavers are everywhere. Some of the kids try to escape but the beavers chop down trees and block the road. They run into an armed hunter who helps and they escape to the neighbors' house who are already dead. The others back at the house board up the doors and windows but the beavers break though the floor. From here you would think that it's just a matter of the kids trying to survive the beaver attack for the night. But there are actually some neat surprises that I didn't expect.Zombeavers is a short movie. For no good reason it tries to be one of those lame teen gross-out comedies. They could easily have gone for straight horror, it's not like this movie is so tasteless that they had to dress it up as a comedy to make it palatable. After all, despite all the innuendo things are fairly tame. There is no rampant graphic nudity, but there is male genitalia for some reason. Female full frontal nudity is nowhere in sight and pretty much extinct from horror movies. Another problem are the dislikable characters. Most of them are just lousy people. You can't wait for almost all of them to be torn to pieces. Rachel Melvin and her character Mary is likable but some male character who survives the longest is just insufferable. They way these people treat each other is also hard to stomach. The music is far too ambitious with the usual awful orchestration that is so generic it makes the movie boring.Despite all this, the movie is enjoyable. There are a lot of shots that are nods to classic horror movies and that horror buffs will easily recognize. There is some gore, a bit of nudity, and just an enthusiastic spirit that is lacking in most horror.Overall an entirely respectable effort that could have easily been improved. It just falls short of something that could have reached minor cultstatus.
